Netflix and Chill

I think school was pretty okay today. I understood the majority of what my algebra teacher was teaching, which I think is absolutely great since I already failed the first week of school. He gave us homework, but I'm honestly not sure how to work out some of the problems. History was okay, too. We've been analyzing documents, reading AP DBQs, and now, we have to write our own DBQ over the weekend. We'll be doing tons of writing since we only have 40 minutes to write on the actual AP test & he just wants us to get as much practice as possible... I don't understand the documents he gave us. Whenever he gets up in front of the class, he starts with one subject then out of NOWHERE, just starts talking about a completely different time period and I'm just trying to keep up like "??????" He was explaining the documents we were going to use for our practice writing but he just went on from one time period to the other and I'm not sure what these documents mean. I understand them, but I don't comprehend. Does that make any sense? I'm sure I'll figure it out, though. I'll just need to get my mind in the right place once I start the homework... which will probably be on Sunday around 8PM.

Oh, physics was pretty okay. We had a test on vector math (it's a two-part test) and today was apparently the easy stuff, without the graphing. Today, we had about 6 true or false questions and then 9 multiple choice questions, four of which we had to work out. See, converting into mag-dir form is the easiest shit ever & so is converting to component form, but going from component form to mag-dir is absolute hell in my class. LIKE, I understand the process & how I'm supposed to do the math but my teacher confuses me with all the rounding and "specific number of digits" or some shit and it really makes me less confident on my math. When I round, I get the wrong answer, but if I leave it as it is, it's wrong. I don't understand? I know how to round correctly and I have the entire formula(s) memorized so it's not my memory, it's just the way my teacher expects me to round that gets me off track. The first multiple choice that I had to work out was converting the the problem to mag-dir, which was easy. The second one was a bit harder. I don't remember what the exact problem was but the answers were:

A. 10m, 30°
B. 100m, 60°
C. 10m, 60°
D. 100m, 30°

My answer was actually 10m (so I KNOW for a fact that my squaring process was done correctpy) so I narrowed it down to either A or C. When I got down to using inverse tangent, I started to become a bit more anxious on solving for the degree. My tan-1 answer was 52°, which wasn't on the test. A kid also had the same problem, so the teacher told us to choose the closest answer and I chose C. Was it just an error my teacher made? I was shaming myself for having done the process wrong, since I didn't get 60° as my answer. We spent the majority of the class in silence, even after everyone else had finished testing.

Spanish was interesting, the most interesting it has ever been! We did our presentation on the weather for the country our teacher picked out for our group--my group had Chile assigned to us. We WERE planning on volunteering first but the teacher had already called on another group. When the first group went up, the teacher played the little news reporter jingle and so many of the students were like, "oh HELL no." Our group was up second and we had to present the weather in spanish. I was the first to speak, "Nuestro pais es Chile." and I got to hold the poster paper and hide my face behind it. Antonio gave the weather for the day time, America gave the nighttime weather, and Niza told the class that Chile had an 8.9 (I think?) earthquake just yesterday. The class went "oooooh" and that was it. It took about maybe 15 minutes, but the majority of the class presented while others took an F for the entire group. After that, the teacher gave us the opportunity to staple our posters up if we wanted to so Antonio IMMEDIATELY got up to staple ours. Some group was posting theirs, but when they gave Antonio the stapler, it had only one staple left. He tried to staple the bottom corner but he didn't have any staples left so he yelled, "God damn it!" and I thought it was THE most hilarious thing ever. I was trying so hard not to laugh & Niza was laughing with me because of how Antonio yelled, and every time we looked at each other, we'd start laughing again. So Antonio got more staples & he started dancing while stapling the paper, so that made us laugh even MORE. I turned around to see three students give us weird looks and that made me laugh harder. America turned around to ask what was so funny; Niza tried explaining but I looked at her & she ended up laughing. Antonio laughed & asked the same thing but we both smacked our heads against the desk because we were laughing so hard. Five minutes later, Niza & I were STILL laughing. It was more of an on/off laugh & I eventually started to calm myself. So, Antonio asked again why we were laughing & Niza explained why. He said that he had three types of laughs--his regular, his squeaky, and his silent laugh--and after calming down, I started laughing AGAIN at the thought of his silent laugh. I heard America go, "oh MY god, seriously?" Seeing me laugh made Niza laugh & that's when the teacher gave us a weird look. Every time Antonio brought up his silent laugh, I'd start giggling and he'd make the silent laugh face, which would cause me to start laughing again. A few minutes before the bell rang, we had our on/off laughs but we did eventually calm down. It was great. Today was probably the most fun I've had in that class.

Fifth period was a mess. For the third time, our essay date was changed, but I'M not complaining! The original essay date was today--the final draft due today. Then, she changed it so that our thesis outline was due Thursday, the rough draft on Monday, and the final draft of Tuesday this upcoming week. Our teacher changed it AGAIN so that the rough draft was due Tuesday, an edited draft due Wednesday, and the FINAL draft due Friday, all for next week. So, today we were using iPads to start typing our rough draft on Google Docs... except, GD wasn't working on any of the iPads. This kind of took me by surprise but my teacher said that a student in her other class, MATT, the computer guru, explained that it would work better on chrome on the iPads. It only took me by surprise because I never thought he would be a "computer guru," he just doesn't look like that type of person. So, the teacher also mentioned that GD worked best on android phones and ALL the android users in the class went "FUCK YEAH, WOOOOOO! SUCK IT, APPLE." and they were all chanting with their phones in hand and... it was weird. Funny, but weird. We took Matt's advice and signed in to google docs through chrome on the iPad, but things became messy when it asked us to download the app instead. I managed to sign in by using drive.google.com but a lot of other students couldn't get to it. When I eventually did sign in, the screen took forever so I ended up downloading the app on my phone, which was laggy as hell. Meanwhile, my teacher went around assigning iPads to everyone... I got 21.

Ahaha.

Twenty one.

Three minutes before the bell, everyone was putting iPads back in the cart and it was a HUGE mess. We weren't allowed to leave until they were all back inside the cart & everyone was getting impatient. We were able to leave a minute after the bell had rung, which only gave us 3 minutes to get to class... it gave me 3 minutes to walk to the OTHER side of campus to the furthest building. Fuck my life. I did make it on time, though, by like 10 seconds. Immediately after I put my stuff down, my teacher already wanted me to make copies in the graphic arts room. 15 copies of one packet, 80 packets of another packet, both stapled. I walked over to graphic arts to see that I was the first student there, so I had the pleasure of being the first to use the machines--at least, use the newer, better machines. I fucked up really bad the other day, but I learned my lesson and I think I've gotten a lot better with how I use the machines! The first packet I ran was the one that needed 15 copies. It was front and back, which I knew how to make copies of. 2-2 sided, 1 staple on the top left. Easy peasy.

The second packet was a little more difficult. A while back, my teacher asked me to make 110 copies, front and back. I chose the 1-2 sided, thinking it would scan BOTH sides of one page. I was wrong. It only scanned one sid of the page. I had 110 copies of one page... my teacher never confronted me about it, but I'm hoping it's because he didn't notice. I learned my lesson, though, and I'm still determined to never make that big of a mistake again. The second packet had pages that were all one sided, but I wasn't sure what option I was supposed to use, so I selected 2-2 sided with the staple option... it came out GREAT! I only made one copy, just to be sure. Since it came out great, I made another 79 copies with the same option. First off, it scanned all the pages but put two pages on one, so that's a HUGE paper saver! After that, I made my way back to the classroom. Upon arriving, my teacher sent me out to the main office. The lady working at the front office called him through the intercome and told him to call an extension number but the school phone didn't work and he wanted a number to call through his cellphone. Sooooooo, I walked back across campus to the front office. There, I explained the situation and the lady gave me an office card. There was an IP meeting that the admins wanted him to be at, but they didn't know he had a class in session. And I made my way across campus again. I repeated what the lady told me, I asked if he had any other work for me, and that was it. I sat down at a desk, plugged in my earbuds to my phone, and listened to music while rewriting notes for class. Some time during that hour, Stephen sent me a text message to see if we were still up for N&C.

I think this was on Wednesday? He sent me a message asking if I wanted to come over for netflix & chill on Friday (today), but I was a little skeptical. Because, y'know, a lot of people take that as a sexual invite. He has a habit of sexualizing everything so I was a little skeptical at first. Obviously, I asked Elías if that was cool with him but he was just as skeptical as I was. But, he did say that he was cool with it, as long as he didn't try anything. I love that we have a lot of trust in each other. Anyway, I told Stephen that I didn't really want to leave the house so he told me he'd just come over to my house instead & my dad was okay with it. So, today, he was asking if we were still up for it. I told him I was and he said he'd bring a few snacks. The bell rang a while later and my dad was already waiting for me outside by the office. We came home & while he slept, I ate some of the leftover tuna. Stephen arrived a while later with hot cheetos, two arizonas for the each of us, four bags of these mini chocolate cupcakes, some rainbow twizzlers, and gummy bears. GRUB AF.

Before anything else, can I say that he looks great in a suit? I love men in suits. They just look so fucking handsome in them, y'know? If men wore suits everyday, I'd die. He had just gotten out of work and didn't even bother changing, but I definitely wasn't going to complain. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) I love suits.

So, I opened up his netflix account on my PS3 (after having to wait for that annoying system/app update). I have no idea what we were watching but it was really boring (we just randomly selected something, but I think it was a documentary) but when I got up to pee, I noticed that my dad should've left the house to go pick up my sisters from school. I went over to wake him up and then I went to take care of my bathroom problem. When I came back, Stephen looked like he was ready to fall asleep. A few more minutes into the film and we both fell asleep--me, because I couldn't fall asleep last night. I woke up around 6PM with one of my legs on his and one arm over his stomach. He was completely sprawled out on my bed, snoring. I grabbed one of the arizonas he brought and changed the channel to watch Ridiculousness while waiting for him to wake up. He eventually woke up at around 6:30-ish because he had rolled off the bed, HA. He woke up super grumpy because it was kind of hot, he was groggy, & he didn't like the feeling of the carpet, though he's NEVER complained about it before until now. He wasn't in the mood to continue watching anything on netflix, so we just kinda played on our phones for a bit and talked about life. Life, as in his looooooove life. He's got a new girlfriend that I'm itching to meet--she sounds pretty & nice! A while back, Zach was teasing him about liking me because when he was describing his ideal girl, one he'd ACTUALLY date, Zach thought that I matched the description but Stephen was denying it. "Okay so basically this girl right here, standing right next to me, matches your description." "HELL NO. Bianca has this really annoying laugh. She smells like a baby and I hate babies. They cry and puke everywhere. And I don't like that she's always hiding her face." So Zach was like, "Okay, so you definitely like her. And you're denying it. Cool." Let me just bring up the fact that he SPECIFICALLY said he liked me on the day of the graduation ceremony. But I'm glad he has a girlfriend. I'm wondering, when is he going to introduce me to her? Y'know, his BEST FRIEND should meet her at least once. Or, he could at leats show me a photo of the girl. My imagination is only so vivid. In all seriousness, I'm glad he found someone nice, unlike all those freshman girls he was "seeing" last year. They were all gross.

So, we're watching I Didn't Do It on Disney right now since we can't find anything interesting on tv. I'm also very hungry but too lazy to get up and find something to eat. Stephen already ate 75% of the snacks that he brought & I'm not in the mood for snacks. But, tonight is going pretty good. I needed this. I'm pretty content right now. And since my sisters are back at my mom's house, I have the entire house to myself for the weekend since my dad works. Fuck yeah. I can finally have friends over without someone bitching at me! I think I'll invite Zach tomorrow to play Modern Warfare or something.

Now that I think about it, if I'm going to be typing my english essay... how am I supposed to do it? I was hoping I could type it on the laptop, but it's at my mom's house. I COULD type it on my phone using the google docs app, but it's painfully laggy. Plus, I'm prone to making autocorrect mistakes. I also don't think it'll be in the right MLA format.

OH. I also think I found a way to get my clothes from my mom's house? I have enough clothes for three days. On Wednesday, once we go pick up my sisters from school, we're going to stop at my mom's house to pick up their things. I'll just ask them to pack me more clothes--and hopefully they wash because my clothes are all dirty--and I'll slowly bring my things over without having to step foot in that house. I should probably delete her off of facebook so she can stop stalking me.

But yeah. Tonight has been great so far. I can finally sleep in tomorrow, woo!
