Flaws With This Term

Before I start with the flaws, let me explain the pros of this term:

It is self-paced which means I can work as hard or as little as I want. I have 12 weeks to get the required assignments done. That's pretty much that only good thing about it that I have found.

Now the flaws:

Since it is not a taught class or any lectures to go with the class, there seems to be a lot of miscommunication and a lot of un-organized record keeping, though this is pretty much what this class is "teaching".

For instance; we have modules with a check list of assignments that we have to complete, turn in, and then have the check list signed off by an instructor before continuing on to the next module.

I was not informed that when I have completed a module check list that the instructors keep it for their own record keeping, so I started accumulating check list that said I was complete with said module.

Well, last week my teacher was inquiring about how far I am with this term and asked to look at my other check lists that says what modules I have completed.

Today, I went to talk to her and had explained that I had misplaced my letter check list and needed a new one so I can review the already scored assignments. She then says something along the lines of why I had the check lists, when they were suppose to keep the check list to keep track of where a student is in the program.

*Shakes my head*

How am I suppose to know, they got sent back to me with no notation that I had to keep them with the instructor (there's two instructors in the class).

This isn't the first time I wasn't informed of things I should or shouldn't be doing. It is quite annoying since my teacher claims to be so punctual and punctual is what I'm trying to be. How can I be punctual to a teacher who claims to be punctual, but yet doesn't show her punctuality toward the student?

Anyways, I came home, re-organized my papers and folders and then tomorrow I have a student check up anyways, so then I will know how far I actually am with the program.

The faster I get this done, the faster I can look for a better paying job, and continue my actually study of being a counselor or psychologist.

Oh, and another thing, since I am a fast worker when it comes to getting things done, I have to wait for the rest of the students to play catch up before I can continue on with my work. How can it be self-paced if I have to wait for the other self-pacers to catch up to me?

Quite frustrating.
