Anticipation.

The scariest part is right before a race is about to start.

"Ready!" Pause,

"Set!" time freezes and all of my surrounding pass by at the slowest motion.

The gun fires and six runners run off like they stole something. I'm happy to say that this season I've consistently beat my Personal records; I'm blessed to say this has ranked me at varsity. Track has taught me literally every second counts.

Our team is undefeated but the time is near. Our arch enemies, South West, are near. I'm excited and anticipated for this race, pass me the baton!
