response and prayer

I think you guys may need a holiday if you have not had
one. It will help to take some of the stress of and then
you should talk about what is making each other unhappy.
She probably feels like she has been taken for granted.

Thanks for the response. Can't afford a holiday, but YES we need one! In fact we have not gone anywhere in about 3 years. It is easy to point at my stress. Bills and not getting any down time. My wife would say both but would preceed them both with health. She is not very healthy. She has lung issues and is a non-smoker... always has been. She and I both take each other for granted...

________

Prayer.
It goes like this...
We have a Christmas pot-luck here at work every year. All the employees get together and bring something and the company supplies some main course- always a meat dish like turkey. Since I am a vegetarian, I have never gotten to eat whatever they have supplied.

With the new head boss, things are a little different. Good in many ways, but quiet pressure in other. Like religion.

The morning of the pot-luck she walks in my office (that I share with her husband) and she looks at us and says "would you like to come and bless the food?" After a 3-4 second pause I am thinking she must me talking to me... and I say... "ummm... I don't think I'd be very good at it, although I could google it and find a good one." She says "No (husband's name) can do it, but thank you. He is pretty good at it."

Ok, so I feel like I dodged a bullet there. I am not religious and although I am quiet and respectful of people's religion (predominantly Christian in my town) I really don't much care for the religion or the various branches of it. I find it hard to believe in a religion that inherently excludes people or denegrates people who do not believe what they believe.

Bottom line is humans are too stupid to know the truth and to think that you have the end all be all truth of the universe is ego-maniacal at its core.

Anyway, not that I pissed off everyone this holiday season... I do sincerely wish everyone a happy holiday. I hope that everyone has a great time with friends and family and gives soemthing to someone that makes a positive impact in their heart (whether it be by gift of happy thought).

Here's some happy beautiful mojo for you on this day and forever. :)
