5am chatting

Yes I'm about to talk about ANOTHER guy. Yes I do know it's weird that I'm always talking about different guys. But you know what? It's okay. It's not like I have anything serious with any one of them right now, I don't even have the POSSIBILITY of having something serious yet, so even if I think about different guys it's just daydreams.

Now that THAT's out of the way, I want to talk to you about Dansen, dear diary. Dansen is part of the Glee group. He is drop dead gorgeous, the tall and skinny kind with beautiful eyes and a to-die-for smirk. He's also kind of an ass, but not in a mean way, just in a really funny way. I noticed him at the first meetings, but we didn't really talk or anything so I didn't really take note beyond the fact that he was cute.
That changed a little Tuesday night, but mostly last night and this morning. So Tuesday night we were practicing the Glee choreography and we realized there was a very girly move Indy, Dansen and Robot had to do. Robot wasn't actually there that night, so me, Indy and Dansen were trying to find a move for the guys to do instead. The move we were trying to replace was moving your hips side to side while flicking your wrists in the air (like making circles with them). Why am I describing this? You'll see. So we were having a lot of trouble trying to figure out something else. Indy, who is probably the most hilarious person I know (half the time I don't know if he's serious or sarcastic xD) said that it didn't matter, they could do the girl move. Dansen's face just dropped. He was completely against doing the move because it reminded him of some other dance move he'd seen in a video on youtube. Then he went to get his phone to show us what it was. I flipped, dear diary, because on his phone was a video of CaramellDansen. Birdlady had showed me this exact video about two years ago and I loved the song (I still love it actually) but it's the kind of annoying song that gets stuck in your head for DAYS.

So anyways, I asked him how he knew the song, and he was like "Well, I read manga and occasionally watch anime.". I was like "Serisouly, that's so cool!" and then Seshu kind of killed the moment by wanting us to "stop in our geekness." At some point I also mentioned that the last time I'd listened to the song I had it stuck in my head for about a month. I thought it would stop there, with me being just thinking he was cooler than I'd first thought. Yeah. Nope.

This brings us to last night, another Glee practice. Me and Dansen were sitting next to each other, but on different couches and, at some point around the middle of the practice, he started playing the song really loud in his headphones. Just long enough for me to realize what song it was. I started laughing and said "Dude! I'll have it stuck in my head again!" to which he replied "That's the point, my goal is for you to have it stuck in your head for as long as possible." Playful arguing followed, with me telling him I'd murder him in his sleep, and him saying he'd like to see me try. At some point he said he'd send me 5am facebook messages with a link to the song, just to annoy me. Then Indy killed the moment again by asking "If this was some kind of twisted way of flirting or..." And everyone kind of laughed, and me and Dansen just kind of annoyed (in a good way) each other for the rest of the night. I can tell you, dear diary, that after this my tummy was home to many butterflies. Mostly because I was wondering if Indy was right, if it had been some kind of weird flirting. I talked with Birdlady, and she told me to send HIM the video at five in the morning, to strike a conversation.

That's what I did, dear diary. I set my alarm clock for 4:55am, planning to wake up, send the video, and go back to sleep. Didn't quite work that way. You see, dear diary, Dansen was awake at five in the morning, so he answered right after I sent it to him. Then I was like "What, you're actually awake?" which is how our conversation started. It seems, dear diary, that Dansen doesn't sleep much, only two to three hours a night, usually between 10 and noon (because his classes only start at one). Here's a the beginning of our conversation:

Me: (link to the video) If I'm gonna have this song stuck in my head, you will too. xD

Him: And so it begins.....

Me: Wait, you're actually awake this early...? 0.0

Him: Awake? I haven't slept

Him: It's only 5

Me: Oh okay, makes more sense xD

Him: Lol Sleep is for the weak and for normal people :P

Me: Yeah, I used to think that. Then last week I decided I just didn't want to sleep one night, didn't turn out so good the next day xP

Him: Lol I can run a day or two on like 2 or 3 hours

Him: It's very inconvenient

Him: But at the same time being single makes it so it doesn't really matter :P

When he said this I had this "Huh, why's he telling me this" moment. Then I was like "Oooooh... Is he seriously trying to make a point that he's single?". I asked Birdlady later, and she said he definitely was, but I'm still not sure.

Anyways, we chatted for like 45 minutes, and as soon as the messages were slower and I didn't know what to say anymore, I had the perfect excuse to leave: I had to try to catch the last half-hour of sleep before I got ready for university, so I wouldn't be too tired. Genius, huh ^^ This way it's less like "This is a very awkward end of conversation and we have nothing to say" and more like "This was really fun and random and I have lots more to say, but I just really need a bit of sleep." Now I'm just wondering if he's going to send me a link tomorrow morning. As much as I hate early mornings, I'm hoping to talk to him again ^^ I won't send one to him again thought, because it was his "threat" and I don't want to seem over-eager, it's his turn to make an effort.

Anyways, good night dear diary, I'm going to Skype with Birdlady for an hour or so, and then I have a Halloween party to go to :)
