What is going on?

This week we had a 16 year old boy stab to death a 16 year old girl who refused his prom date invitation. This occurred in CT, not far from where all those children were killed in Sandy Hook.

Not too long ago a boy stabbed 20 people or so at school killing a few. According to the media he had blogged or written that he was excited to see the terror on his classmates faces.

Apart from Columbine which happened 20 years ago, I believe this killing generation may have ill-formed personalities. Is it possible that this killing generation could have something to do with violent video games?

It is well known that a childs' personality is formed in the early years, starting before they can walk, talk, or feed themselves. If the child watches their parents game playing could violent virtual reality permanently impact a developing psyche?

I think the answer is yes, and I wonder if anyone is doing something about it. Is there a think tank somewhere looking into the phenomenon and will they do something with the data gathered?

I hope so. For all of our sakes.
