Murderously Mad Mother

I decided to go find him alone. I hopped in my ship with R9 and took off quickly. I closed my eyes and used the Force to throw out a mental call. "Brooks, your father wants you back. Its ok now. Where are you," I called.
I didn't get a voice, but a signal. It was weak though. Nal Hutta. Hutts. Great.
Setting the course to Nal Hutta, I increased the speed. I wanted to hurry. I didn't rest, eat, just meditated on the way there. The Hutts were dealers. They were the Mafia of the galaxy, it seemed. I would need all my Jedi reasoning to win this small battle. I'd fight a rancor for Brooks. Negotiating would be easy.
My ship landed, kicking up dust. I found the Hutts with some help from the locals. I walked to the door, hood up.
"Ah'chu apenkee," one of the guards asked me. Who are you?
"My pee kasa Jeedai Alix Zare Kenobi," I told them. My name is Jedi Alix Zare Kenobi.
They exchanged looks.
"Mi bosco de a shag, Brooks," I stated firmly. "Ting cooing koo soo ah." 'I'm looking for a slave, Brooks. I have the credits.'
"Bsha," they waved me in. 'Move.'
I nodded, keeping my hood up, and walked in. It wasn't the best place I've been to, but so far, it wasn't the worst. That was when I saw a huge, fat, turquoise slug. I didn't have to guess this was Zordo. I knew they didn't take kindly to Jedi, but they loved money. And I loved Brooks. I nodded to him respectfully, half bowing. Since he was big and fat, I knew his rank was very high and I would be at a bad start to disrespect that.
"Achuta Jeedai," the slug slurred. Slime moved with his mouth like a sticky web. 'Hello Jedi.'
"Achuta," I stated, sending the greeting back. I lowered my hood and his eyes widened.
"Cheeka Jedi. Kee chai chai cun kuta?" He suddenly seemed interested. 'Woman Jedi. What are you doing here?'
"Mi bosco de a shag. Brooks," I stated again, stepping forward slightly.
"Nobata. Bargon wan chee kospah," he dismissed.
"Hi chunkee fa goota?" I was determined to get him back. 'Whats your final offer?'
"Nee cho!" He shouted. This Hutt wasn't happy. 'To die!'
I had lost my patience with this guy. "Can I at least see Brooks? Please?"
The droid next to him translated. He mused and nodded. Then Brooks ran out. "Mom!"
"Brooks!" I knelt down and held him close, tears threatening my eyes. "I'm so happy to see you. Oh, how I've missed you." I kissed his cheek and held him. "I'm so glad you're alright! What happened?"
He pulled away and looked down. "When I found out you wouldn't take me, I ran away. I tried to steal some food to eat, but I got caught. I had to work my debt which grew more and more. It was slavery. So they sold me here to clean up for him. I'm so sorry mom, if I had known I wouldn't have!" Tears ran down his face. "I just want to go home with you and dad."
I held him. "Shh it's ok. I'm going to get you out of here."
"How?" He looked up at me.
"I'm your mother, and a Jedi. I always have a plan," I smiled, lying.
He smiled, eyes filled with hope. And he was pulled away from me, screaming, fighting back. "Hey, no! Let me go!"
I stood before the Hutt again. "What do you want? My money? My ship? I'll give you everything I have."
He thought about it for a second. "Chespo kutata kreesta krenko, nyakoska Jeedai," he laughed. I've been looking forward to this for a long time Jedi. "Jujumon 144," he declared. It was all I had. I gave it all to him. "Bona dyst?" I tossed him the code to my ship even. "Blasto," he demanded. I shook my head. "Blasto!" I looked to where I saw Brooks and tossed my lightsaber to him, and my blaster. "Ateema buttmalia," he laughed. Now, he wanted a bet.
"What are the stakes," I demanded. He brought out Brooks, and put my items on a tray. I nodded. "Whats the bet?"
His translator spoke. "If you die, we keep your ship, your Brooks, your money, and your weapons. If you live, you take all."
"Seems like a big gamble to me," I replied.
"Dopo mee gusha," he laughed.
"Where I come from I dont need to feel lucky. So no, I dont. I'm a Jedi," I stated. "But this is a big risk."
"Peetch goola. Keel-ee calleya ku kah, Jeedai," he stated. 'Too bad. You disappoint me, Jedi.'
"I'm taking my things and leaving," I replied. I stepped forward and fell. I landed in a trap, and I landed hard on my side in a dusty room, lit only by the cells and light from above. Bones were scattered around. I knew this wasn't a good place, just by the smell of it.
The Hutt's big eyes looked down at me. "Soong peetch alay. Bona nai kachu!" 'Its too late. You're in trouble now!'
I didn't like the sound of that.
A loud cry erupted from infront of me. I swallowed hard. I closed my eyes and focused my mind. Suddenly a yellow nexu jumped out. The rows of pointed teeth were the first thing I noticed, then the 4 eyes, the tail, and the claws. It pounced on me quickly and I lept over it. Its tail snapped up and grabbed me. It threw me down infront of it, but because of the flip, I narrowly escaped the teeth. It pounced again, biting rows of teeth aiming for my head. I waited for the right moment and kicked my feet up with all the force I could muster, throwing it up and over my head, landing on its back, and I rolled to my feet. I ran over to a bone and it was the size of me and pointed at both ends. It would work. It almost meowed or roared and was back on its feet. It eyed me again. It almost circled me and I watched it. Then it pounced again. I waited, and waited. It got bigger as it got closer. When it was almost on me, I stuck the bone in the ground and held it. It impaled the nexu through and I jumped back to avoid the swiping claws. The nexu died almost quickly, and I panted breathing hard from the adrenaline.
The Hutt above barked a command and another gate lifted.
An acklay stepped forward. I swallowed hard and looked up at the praying mantis like beast. I watched it carefully as it eyed me. It yelled it's clicking like call and stamped toward me. Claws- first thing to look out for. Suddenly lighting shot from its mouth. I reached out and absorbed it. I was in awe. Did that acklay just spit lightning!? Oh this was going to be fun. It stamped toward me and thrust down one of its claws. I rolled and avoided it. Nearly into another. I ran from that one, until I was under it. I reached up and unleashed the Force lightning it had projected. It screamed and tried to impale me. I dodged it. And the next 5 that came after me. However it kicked me into the wall and pinned me. It lifted its other claw to stab me.
"Mom," Brooks cried horrified. With one glance at him, I launched all my rage and anger out in lightning, frying the beast. I threw it from wall to wall, through the door, and stabbed it with a bone. I walked out and up to the Hutt.
"Now, I win. I'm taking everything," I stated. I sent a Force wave out, and when my stuff was knocked up, I caught it, and activated my lightsaber, and cut Brooks free. I tossed 5 credits to the Hutt. "Keep the change." I grabbed Brooks into my arms and ran, using Force speed to go as fast as I could. I pushed the doors open and ran to my ship. "Buckle up! We're now wanted dead or alive in Nal Hutta." I set him down and got into my ship. I started it up, looked to Brooks and took off. Only when we were in hyperspace did I relax.
"Whats going to happen now?" Brooks looked up at me with his beautiful purple eyes, his blonde hair almost covering them.
"We need to get you a hair cut for one," I stated.
"Seriously mom," he replied.
"Your father is going to talk to the Council. You're stuck with me until he gets back. He wants me to train you and teach you to become a Jedi, but I'll see what I can do. I'm not exactly a master anymore and I dont know if the Jedi Council approve," I mused.
"I get to be a Jedi!? Can go on missions with you?!"
"No! Absolutely not."
"Why? We're a good team!"
"Because I dont want to lose you like I almost did."
"Come on mom. You wont."
"I guess we'll see, depending on the Council. Hungry?"
"Starved!"
I smiled. "I got you some food in the fridge. Get me some too?"
He nodded and brought back the food and drink. We both ate hungerily and drank thirstily. It was gone within half an hour.
"Did they not feed you back there?"
"Not often."
"Come here," I demanded.
He came close to me.
"Shirt off."
He gave me a concerned quizzical look.
"Don't question your mother. Turn around and take your shirt off," I ordered. He did as I told and just as I thought. Whip marks. I cleaned them and bandaged them, as well as my injuries from the battle. "There, doesnt that feel better?"
He nodded.
"Brooks, whats wrong?"
"I wish dad was here with you. I've missed him too."
"He'll be back. Its going to be ok. I promise. If I know your father well enough, he'll have smooth talked the Council out of everything in a matter of days." I forced a smile and he beamed. "Now, its late. Off to bed."
"But mom! I'm not tired," he groaned.
"Bed, mr. This is my ship. My rules. Bed time is at 9:30. Come on, I'll tuck you in," I stood up.
"I don't need to be tucked in," he argued.
"No, but you want to. Come on," I smiled and lead him to the bed. I made it as comfortable as possible and he crawled in. I pulled the sheets over him, kneeled down beside the bed, and smiled with my hand on his forehead, brushing back his golden blonde hair. "I love you Brooks. So much. And I promise from now on, I'll always be here for you."
"Will you sleep with me tonight?"
"I cant. I've got to navagate the ship."
"Power it down, land. Just stay with me for tonight, please mom?"
I sighed. I stood up, and landed the ship on a nearby moon. I powered the ship down, but alerts were activated. I crawled into bed with him, and held him. I kissed his cheek. "Goodnight, my sweet Brooks." We both fell asleep together. May the Force be with you.
