A Trip Down Memory Lane- Things Never Change

"Good to see you still in one piece, we've got a lot of catching up to do, my padawan...." At that, I knew who it was. A grin formed from ear to ear as I looked at the shadowy figure standing infront of me.
"Sh-Shaden? Glad to see you still alive. I thought you vanished.... Although I am glad to see you, Master," I bowed slightly. I may have been a Jedi Knight, but its not as fun. Besides, I couldn't wait to show him how much I've grown, how much I've learned! I thought he was dead.... What a relief he isn't! "I'm eager to hear how things are for you and what all has happened."
I put my hand behind me and clentched my fist. It was all I could do to keep from squealing from pure joy at the sight of him, and running up to hug him. That wasn't how a Knight acted, I knew, so I just beamed. I was a little afraid and uncertain, however, because I had previous Masters after he left. How would I tell him? Would I even tell him? Thoughts like this raced through my mind, but I knew one thing, if only that; he was like a father to me, and I would spend every minute with him learning and enjoying his company. Being a knight is too boring and lonely anyway. Besides, I know with Shaden, I've got much to learn.
"I was freeing my brother from the citadel, and inadvertently got captured myself. We only recently escaped. I am anxious to find out how you have been. I'm sorry I left so abruptly. We must find the time to catch up," he said quickly smiling a warm smile.
"You wouldnt approve much but.... Whenever your free. And i am glad you made it out," I smiled. He would not approve at all. New masters, passing the trials already, becoming a Sith.... No, I would not tell him I passed the trials. I wanted to learn with him again, so I'll become a padawan again if I have to. Besides, I doubt the Council will mind. I'll have a seat waiting for me when I finish the rest of my training. It never seems to end, does it?
We talked for a little bit and I demanded he tell me everything that has happened until this point. He told me that when he had heard of the scars and that they were going to take over June 27-ish, he took off to find his brother who he believed he could help. He was captured and got tortured for a long time. They lived off scraps and the Force. They were kept in a prion cell that was so barred, it was virtually impossible to escape. Although, they managed, just barely. They had to go into hiding for a bit and regain what they've lost. They ate real food and stayed in a hotel for a while on Correlia, laying low.
Thats when he met a girl. He showed me a hologram, and she's very very beautiful. Her figure is long and sleek. She has tan skin, but her tan/orange long jumpsuit hides it. Her face is smooth, with no mistakes, and her cheek bones are well defined. Her lips are full and a natural shade of red/pink, while her nose is not too long nor too small, she has determined and sharp dark brown eyes. They match the color of her hair that hangs around her face perfectly, giving her that roughed up look, but she makes it look elegant. Her name is Adonica, and she's a decedent of Bastila Shan. He told me she has exceptional power and she's very good with a lightsaber. She can be a tough girl too. His eyes lit up talking about her, and I knew she made him happy. He was no longer just mine, but I've learned to live with it now. I was glad he was happy with her and I wish them both the best of luck and I hope that the Force will guide them and be with them forever and that they stay together as long as their hearts desire. I've never seen Shaden so happy, and I have her to thank for that.
He's also improved in battle while he was gone. New armor and lightsabers. He's been learned new tricks and seeking to improve them. But, so had I, and I wanted to see what he had.
"If you are up for training tonight, I want to see if you have gotten rusty over these months," I smiled challengingly and confidently. I still learned to be humble around him, because his power was more than mine and he had always been better, but maybe this time, with all the training and battles I've had, maybe I could actually beat him for once!
"Yeah, we can spar, but just for a little bit," he smiled.
I beamed brightly and took out my two blue lightsabers. I set them both on low and grinned up at him. "OK then," I shrugged.
He pulled out two deep purple blades and set them to low too. "No chokes or lightning, fair?"
"Dont remember you having purple blades. Are they new? And fair enough," I shrugged and grinned. I took my Makashi stance. My dad's was Soresu, mine was Makashi, although I knew I'd have to switch beween the defencive Soresu, the offencive Ataru, and the counter attack style of Makashi. Those were the only 3 I was the best at. All other forms of lightsaber fighting styles were over my head. No doubt once Shaden figured this out, he'd use the other forms against me.
"They were my brothers," Shaden said bringing my attention back to now. "High density plasma. Depending on my mood the blade can go from blazing hot, to ice cold. See?" He held up a hand of his and placed it on the blade. I cringed, almost gasped, and wanted to look away. I knew idiots who touched the blade of a lightsaber to see what it was like, and their screams can still be heard when they see one. Maybe Shaden was one of those idiots? But he pulled his hand away, revealing it unscathed.
I was in awe. "Impressive! How did you get it to be that easy?" I wanted one.
"It's all about the mind. Right now I'm in an extreme calm. Which is a good thing, cause with these blades, even a low power setting can do damage." On that note, maybe I should stick to regular blades instead for a little bit.... He stood in a fighters stance, waiting to attack, and I watched him carefully, taking a Soresu stance seeing he was planning to attack, leaving no opening for him to attack. I watched his blade and hips, predicting where and when the attack would be.
He surprised me by closing his eyes and suddenly my blades deactivated. He then dashed at me, using speed from the Force, and raised both of his blades up and hovering them at my shoulders. "You OK? You should have seen that coming...."
I didnt react to my blades turning off, one little distraction could cost me. I ducked and spun to the side as he raised both blades up, using the Force to speed me up and stood behind him with the end of the unactivated lightsaber pressing against his back. "Perfectly fine. I'm no longer that helpless girl that could barely hold a lightsaber anymore, Master. Although while I did sense it coming it was a nice move," I nodded. Well, turning my lightsabers off so quickly.
"I'm just making sure. Care to explain why I have your saber belt in my hand though?" He held it to the side for me to see. "Or more to the point, why you let me take it from off of you?"
Classic Shaden. But I still struggled to hide a look of surprise. I snatched the belt out of the air, and looked at him almost smiling with respect. No matter how hard I had trained, he could still humble me like a child and put me in my place. "I didn't. You stole it. Last time I checked, stealing isn't letting you take it," I shot at him smiling.
"You forgot I could move that quickly, didn't you?" It wasn't much of a question by the smug look on his face. "I also took your ID card, you can have that back too...." He held it out between his fingers and I took it a little slower than I took the belt.
"Hm. Maybe I did...." I put the card up and put the belt back on again. "How do you....?" I didn't need to finish my question. He knew. He always does.
"I made you keep your senses on my blades, while doing that I reached out with the force, and relieved you of those two items," he explained.
I nodded slowly. "OK.... I think I can keep up now."
He Force pushed the ground, causing a cloud of dust to envelop the area, making visibility slim. "You sure Alix? I mean if this is too much I can tone it down for you...." Thats always the last thing I want to hear, that someone has to tone it down for me to keep up.
"Anyone else wouldn't. Besides, I admit I'm having fun," I smiled slightly, but with no visibility he couldn't have saw it. I had done this trick before in one of my Trials. Remember when the evil boys blinded me to get to Galen? This was almost the same. I used the Force to stretch out my senses, expecting a sneak attack. I sensed him, his blades, and everything around me, ready to defend or attack.
What surprised me, was that I heard the familiar HISS of the blades deactivating. "I've been told that this technique is somewhat... haunting...." It sounded like there were more of him, making my skin crawl with goosebumps, the hair on the back on my neck standing up when I believed to see a figure in the dust, only to find nothing there.... Or was it nothing?
I'll end here. Glad to see Shaden again. May the Force be with you guys! And not with whatevers in the room with me.....
