Bob Ewells testimony

The clerk's voice boomed as he said "...Robert E. Lee Ewell!" He came up to the stand and
when he was taking his oath i remembered some memories that Atticus, me, and Jem did
years ago. When Bob came up to the stand, Mr. Gilmer question. He asked him if he was the
father and she said yes. But Bob kept saying things that were not necessary in the court room.
Then he was questioned about what happened. He told the jury that he saw everything and
what he said next made the entire court room go crazy. All the women and children was
asked to leave but it was denied. He was question if he saw Tom Robinson do what he was
supposedly doing to his daughter. Bob said yes. He said that he ran after him and that he
couldnt catch up so he went and got Mr. Heck Tate. As he was about to leave the stand, my
father asked if he could answer a few questions. he said ok. Atticus then questioned him on
what happened. and what exactly did happen. Then Atticus asked if he could read and write.
He said yes. He then asked if he could write his name. He wrote his name out. Then everyone
saw that he writes with his left hand. Tom Robinson wrote with his right. And Bob's daughter
has a black eye on the right side of her face. It would be more easier for a person who is left
handed to hit someone and give them a black eye if they were left-handed. Like Bob Ewell
was. I think Atticus is now thinking of who really did this. Not Tom Robinson, but Bob Ewell.
