Snow day

This last week has been pretty busy for me which is why I haven't
written. I've been to Massechusets and back in a span of just over
5 days, and did just over 3200 miles. Overall a pretty productive
week, though I had to push hard a couple of days to get it done to
make it home for my doctor appointment today.

It snowed yesterday and continued though today, and made the road
conditions pretty treacherous back and forth for my appointment,
which is 2 hours away. Not much came of my apointment. My Dr. and
I discussed a medication I had been taking for weight control and
decided the side effects weren't worth continuing the medication,
and we hadn't seen any benefits from it either. I often had
tingleing in my hands and feet from the medication, and I didn't
like the way it made me feel either.

I just need to buckle down and quit eating the truck stop and fast
foods so much. The truck stop food comes in huge portions, and the
fast food is calorie packed which doesn't help either. I also need
to get back on my protien shakes which would help burn caloires too.

Last weekend was pretty productive. I finally made a shelf for my
truck to put in my sleeper of my truck, above where I sleep. Now I
can put my microwave, printer, and other items on that instead of
keeping them on the floor. The microwave would be easier to get to,
and hopefully encourage me to use that more often and make more
meals in the truck. That would benefit 2 ways. First meals in the
truck are way cheaper than eating in resturaunts, and I can control
portion sizes and calories better. I just need to figure out a way
to tie them down to the shelf so when I step on the brake those
items don't come flying off.

I also vaccumed and scrubbed the floor of my truck, which has been
needed to be done for a while now. So with the microwave and
printer off the floor, and the interior cleaned up, it looks a lot
less cluttered and cleaner inside. Now if I can only do somehting
about the constant dust that seems to float around in there.

I spent about $600 online today for items for my truck. I ordered a
laptop stand that bolts to the passenger seat bolt holes for my
laptop. That way I can now secure my laptop and not worry about it
banging around in my truck and wrecking it. I run my logboook off
my laptop, so if it ever crashed or something I would be SOL (shit
out of luck for you younger types).

I also got a whole house FM transmitter off of Ebay. You may ask
why would I want such a thing? Well I was going to get an IPod to
use to listen to audio books and music. But then I thought, I
already have a laptop, why buy an IPod? A friend of mine bought one
of those FM transmitters so when he watches movies in his truck he
just flips that on, turns on his radio, and wala... he can listen to
the movie though his stero. Of course so can everyone else within a
few hundred feet of his truck that is tuned into that same station
lol. Once I get that transmitter I can just plug it into the
headphone jack of my laptop, and just pipe any MP3 though my stereo
of my truck on any station of my choosing without worrying about
some other station overpowering it.

Once those items come, that should be about all I need for my truck
for some time. Though I've been conidering getting a custom made
pillow top mattress made for my sleeper. Frankly the mattress I
have now is like sleeping on a board. I checked out the cost of a
custom made one and it would be around $500 bucks, which wouldn't be
too bad at all. If I did get that, then that would be absolutely
the last thing I bought for my truck, I hope, lol. I need to start
saving money up for a house.... or just a rainy day... Peace out
for now peeps...
