HOLY CRAP

YOU GUYS WONT BELIEVE THIS!... Okay, I take that back, maybe you
will. But maybe, just maybe, I am a better Jedi than I thought!
"Hello Sevanar. Been a while since we've last fought. Hope I
actually prove a challenge against you," I smiled as our blades
clashed together. Both of us pushed on our hilts of the lightsaber, to
off throw eachother's balance.
"Your right, it has been a while. Far too long, Jedi," he spat at me.
"Why are you here," I demanded pushing against his blade.
"I came to assassinate someone. And you are not getting in my
way," he pushed back, nearly making me fall.
"Who assigned you to this," I demanded.
"I'm not telling," he protested.
Having heard enough, I raised my hand and was about to Force push
him away until he raised his hand with the same idea. "You just about
killed Marl Payne," I glared at him.
"Wasn't good enough. I will destroy anyone who gets in my way, and
I should have destroyed him too! He slipped out of my grip," he
growled. "I wont let that happen with you."
"You nearly killed him!"
"NEARLY ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH," he shot right back at me. Suddenly the
pressure between our hands was too much. The Force working against
each other built up until we were thrown across the alley. I hit one
wall but he bounced off the opposite. He was ready for the impact. I
wasn't. I knew it would cost me. I landed hard against the brick wall.
I had to tuck my head it, so as not to get whiplash, but when I hit
the wall, I lost my breath and my back was suddenly a little sore. I
fell to my feel and forced myself to remain stable and not stagger.
Mind over matter. Beat him first, worry about the pain and effects later.
I looked up in time to see a red blade coming at me. I just
managed to get my lightsaber up to block it. He grinned. He picked me
up using the Force ad threw me against the opposite side of the alley.
But this time, I was ready. I spun so my legs propped up against the
wall, and I bounced forward, positioning myself again so I landed on
my feet on the wall. I leaped up the alley. My original plan was to
get to the top and come down hard on him, lightsaber first. But he
must have thought I was running, because with a frustrated grunt he
leaped up too. Change of plans. I leaped onto the roof, doing a single
front flip to get more momentum, and landed lightly on my feet. I
looked up at him and his hood was down, revealing his sheek black hair
that almost looked greasy, his light blue skin that looked really dark
at night, even in the Coruscant lights. Since I was in the under
levels of Coruscant, the light wasn't as bright, making even his light
blue skin seem dark. But his red eyes glowed, as usual, as if looking
right through me. I had to force myself not to look in his eyes, only
his body and lightsaber and where he moves next.
He lunged at me again. But with a quick flick of my wrist it was
easily deflected. He had literally lunged at me too, so his ballance
was off, leaving an opening. I tried to stab him under his left arm
just below his ribcage but he blocked me quickly. I jumped back to
avoid another attack that just barely missed my chest. I then Force
pushed him, but instead of falling into the alley where I could just
follow after him and end it, he flipped over the alley and landed on
the next building. Getting annoyed, I followed him to the next building.
His lunges were easily blocked by a flick of my lightsaber. My
counter attacks were easily knocked off by him blocking. And his block
was easily beat by an attack. But my attack was stopped by a counter
attack and an attack afterward.
It went like this for what felt like an eternity! I could feel as
well as hear the hum of our blades. I also felt a few of the sparks
the blades released when they clashed together. His red eyes bore into
my skin, even when I wasn't looking. His eyes matched the color of his
lightsaber, so I didn't really have to look at them. His breathing was
silent and controlled, but so was mine. But after an hour of back and
forth fighting, I was weak and exhausted. He wasn't. He kept coming at
me and I blocked repeatedly, trying to wear him out. I could see sweat
bead down his head. The murky and stale Coruscant under level air
reeked compared to the fresh air of Kegan. Speeders whizzed by our
heads as we fought, but none paused long enough to watch. It was fine
by me.
After a while, I slipped up. He blocked an attack and counter
attacked, swinging his blade around him in a blur. Light blue and red
mixed and blurred, creating a beautiful and deadly light show. He
caught me on my leg and I cringed in pain. While I was distracted for
half a second, he swung his blade around again and caught my arm. I
dropped my lightsaber to the ground and bit my lip. Feeling the
strength finally leave me, I fell to the ground. I had relied for the
Force to guide my motions and now, I had no strength left. I clutched
my arm, now with a long gash across it, and rested on my knees.
"Your weaker since I first fought you," he paced around me, wiping
the sweat off his head. He just barely touched my back with his
lightsaber, making one long cut down my spine. I then cried out. It
was millimeters from my spinal cord. Any deeper and I would have died
right there. He circled me though, like a cat and a mouse. My head
raced, coming up with the best idea. "You shouldn't have come out
here, padawan. You know the Sith are stronger. We will always prevail.
Now, you will pay for your mistakes," he glowered down at me. He drove
his lightsaber into my leg. I let out a cry of pain. He was
practically burning me alive and it flippin HURT!
As if reading my mind, he firmly placed his foot on my lightsaber
then bent down to pick it up. Sore, tired, weak, hurt, and impossible
to do anything, I could only watch. He examined it.
"This is what the Jedi call a lightsaber? Pathetic. Not even worth
keeping," he snorted and threw it over his shoulder into the chasm
behind him. It fell down the dark alley with a clink clink clink. "Now
this is where it ends for you, Jedi," he sneered. He placed his
lightsaber ON my shoulder next to my neck. I bit my lip. One swing and
I was gone.
"Darth Sevanar," I whispered. He didn't hear me. Or didn't listen.
"Darth Sevanar," I croaked a little louder.
"What, scum," he snapped at me.
"I liked that lightsaber," I mumbled.
"I cant hear you," he taunted.
"I said. I. Liked. That. Lightsaber," I repeated slowly so he
could understand and hear. He glared at me. I Force pushed him,
finding my strength back. I didn't hate him. I wasn't truly mad
either. I just liked my lightsaber. He stumbled back, balancing on the
edge of the alley, caught off gaurd.
"WATCH IT JEDI! You nearly pushed me off," he snapped at me,
screaming at me. He raised his hand quickly and sent lightning my way.
I took it, feeling the electricity run through me painfully. I took
the rest of it into the palm of my hand and shot it upward.
"Nearly isn't good enough," I retorted just loud enough so he
could hear. I grinned. His eyes went wide and before he could react, I
pushed him down the alley. He didn't have time to change direction. I
then peered over the alley and shocked him with the lightning he used
on me. He froze in pain.
He screamed out of fear and pain and I listened as his screams
grew quieter. Then, there was a THUD, followed by silence except the
chatter of people, the whine of speeders, and whistle of the faint wind.
Smiling out of satisfaction, I leaped down. I landed lightly
whereas he landed at an odd angle. A painful one. I took my lightsaber
he threw over and I took his. "I told you I liked my lightsaber," I
said to the lifeless body of the Chiss. His neck had been snapped,
along with his spine, and a few ribs, and his arm. Blood pooled around
him, soaking him. The stench was already beginning to rise. I turned
away from the sight. I put away my lightsaber and went to my master
with Darth Sevanar's lightsaber in my hand.
I knelt by his bed, he was still recovering. "Hey master. How are
you feeling?"
"Tired and sore, padawan. Glad to see you though," he managed a
smile.
"Any better?"
"Medical droids say I'll be up and running in a few days. But I
don't trust those droids. I'd rather be checked by an actual person
who knows what they are doing," he ranted.
"Master," I interrupted and shot him a look.
"Raving like a mad man again aren't I," he asked.
I nodded.
"Comes with old age I guess. Dont like to think of myself as being
old though."
"You're not old. Believe me, I know old when I see it. Be glad the
medical droids came when they did. I can heal injuries. Not fix
lightning damage to the heart," I smiled at him.
"I know, I know. And for that I thank you. Speaking of, are you
hurt?" He grabbed my arm and ordered me to take off my robe. I did as
I was told. He saw my arms and my legs and the back of my neck. He
sighed and shook his head. "Got you too, did he?"
"That he did. But its nothing," I lied.
"You aren't a very good liar you know," he chuckled.
"Okay, maybe it is something. But thats not whats important. Whats
important is your safe, I'm alive, and," I paused to get out the
lightsaber, "I got this."
"Alix Zare Kenobi! How in blazes did you get that?!"
"How do you think? I promised I would beat him and get it."
"Good job. I'm proud of you," he smiled up at me. I beamed happily.
"Thank you, master," I smiled. He traced his finger over my
lightning wound that interacted with my lightsaber burns. I winced in
pain and pulled away from him. He let my arm slip through his grip.
"Get one of these here droids to take a look at it. I really am
proud of you," he told me. I smiled and nodded. Not a bad day. Still
have to deal with Erin though. Well, may the Force be with you!
