Master

It was all of us. Nydo, Shaden, Erisi, Rogan, Jaiden, Dexen,
Lorne, Kiran, Zi, and even Jarex. We all laughed and fought. We were
all practicing and had broken into teams. It was their idea, not mine,
to put Shaden and I on opposite sides. Their was his team, and my
team. His team had Jaiden, Rogan, Dexen, Lorne, and Jarex. My team had
Nydo, Kiran, Erisi, and Zi. We were fighting, laughing, taunting. It
was like nothing had ever happened. We were normal and happy. It was
perfect. And my team was winning, surprisingly! We were now playing
capture the flag, Jedi style and the sun was just setting. But
suddenly I noticed Jarex gone. Lorne too. So was Zi and Rogan. It was
suddenly Nydo, Shaden, Erisi, Jaiden, Dexen, Kiran, and I. We looked
around. It was as if they had just disappeared. Suddenly, I heard a
thousand, maybe more, footsteps.
"Master? What is it? Something doesn't feel right," I told Shaden.
"Shh," he ordered. He listened as the footsteps got louder. The air
seemed to go stiff, and we all exchanged glance.
"What do you think happened to the others," Nydo asked, gripping my
shoulders, holding me close to him.
"I don't know," Shaden mumbled.
"Do you sense that," Jaiden whispered. Dexen, Kiran, Jaiden,
Shaden, and Nydo all exchanged glances. Erisi and I had no idea what
was going on.
"Alix, GO! NOW! Take Erisi with you. Find the others," my master
demanded, activating his lightsaber.
"But-" I began to protest.
"Shaden, Erisi is old enough," Jaiden nodded.
"Someone has to go with her," Shaden shot back.
"We don't have time to discuss this," Nydo snapped. He thrust out
his hand and all the furniture blocked the door.
"He's right," Dexen nodded.
"Shouldn't we leave her here," Kiran asked.
"NO! If they get past us she'll be gone," Shaden retorted.
"She has to go," Jaiden demanded.
I felt the terrible feeling rise. The once calm pool felt suddenly
like a ocean in a storm. The Force rippled around me.
"Guys, whats going on," I demanded.
"No time," Nydo replied. "I'll take her and make sure she is safe.
What about Zi? Where did he go? He's her age."
"I know! If you find him, take him with you," Shaden replied, on
edge. The marching was loud and close.
"Master," Erisi exchanged looks with Jaiden. She was afraid. I
could tell they all were, they were just better at hiding it.
"Shh Erisi. Get your lightsaber ready. Here is your trial," Jaiden
replied. Erisi gulped. Kiran looked unsure about all of this, and so
did Dexen.
Suddenly a loud BANG was heard at the grand door. Dexen, Kiran,
Jaiden, and Shaden ran to the door and used Force push on it to block
whoever was coming in.
"Nydo, go! NOW! Take the girl. May the Force be with you," Shaden
called. He really had to strain to keep the door closed. Whatever, or
whoever was on the otherside of that door had strength.
"But master," I pleaded.
"Not now, Alix! Go. You'll be safe with Nydo. I'm proud of you. Now
go! HURRY," Shaden demanded. Nydo ran to the back of the room and
looked out a window. He cursed under his breath. He grabbed my arm and
led me down a secret corridior. I struggled to keep up. We were far
ahead but I heard a SLAM and louder footsteps. I heard blasters and
lots of lightsabers. More than my friend's. I kept silent. The temple
was under attack! And by the sound of it, I could tell they wouldn't
make it. Nydo brought me to a room and exposed a secret door.
"Go through here. And whatever you do, don't stop or look back,"
Nydo demanded. He smoothed my hair away from my face and looked in my
eyes. They were frantic, scared, controlled, and somehow calm at the
same time. Gone was the light in his eyes from before.
"Nydo, I don't want to leave you guys," I pleaded.
"You have to! Look, you'll see us again, okay? Just be safe for
now. You can get revenge on me another day," he forced a smiled. I
fought back tears, knowing it wasn't true. "Now, go. Alix, never
forget us. You were like a little sister to me."
"I know you guys can beat them. I'll see you again," I nodded, with
all the strength I could.
"I won't lie, you are our hope now. Make us proud. Now, go. May the
Force be with you. Remember your lessons, always," he smiled.
I nodded. I ran down the hallway, trying so hard to be strong and
fearless. "Don't look back," I heard Nydo cry. The footsteps were
getting closer. I could feel Nydo hold them off as best he could, but
he didn't last 5 seconds. I masked my presence and ran quietly. I
could the escape hatch. I made it, but not hearing any footsteps, I
looked backed and paused.
They all laid on the floor, being shot, or already dead. I couldnt
breathe. I watched the horrific scene play out. My friends murdered,
my master fall, and my strength leave me. A single tear trickled down
my face. I was well hidden in the shadows, but I heard chanting.
"DEATH TO THE JEDI! ALL HAIL TO THE DARK SIDE!"
"No," I whispered silently. I clutched my lightsaber hard, almost
making my hand turn white. The metal heated up in my hand. I felt
ready to kill everyone in that room. All my friends were dead now. I
then saw Jarex grinning evily, with black hair and yellow eyes. I
couldn't breathe, it was like a punch to the gut. The eyes scared me,
and I couldn't look in them anymore. Instead, I noticed Lorne and
Rogan behind Jarex. They were smiling the same way. And I saw Zi with
a HUGE army, not of droids, of clones. He had a military face on. He
noticed me and looked in my eyes. I looked back in his, shaking my
head, not believing what I was seeing. He didn't say anything, only
stared into my eyes emotionlessly.
"Hey, wheres the girl? Where is Alix," Jarex demanded. Zi snapped
up and looked at him, but he didn't say a word. "I said, WHERE IS THE
GIRL!? FIND HER! Not one Jedi can live, even her. Especially her."
I clenched my fists, fighting my urge to kill Jarex and get revenge
for my friends. I saw my master, staring at me from the ground, with
lifeless eyes. His body, was two feet away from him. I felt my breath
caught. I knew I had to get out of there. I just knew it. I ran back
into the escape room. I grabbed a vehicle there and took off, going as
fast as it could go. I was now letting the tears fall, still thinking
it couldn't be. The cool wind nipped at my neck and my tear stained
cheeks. I heard whining behind me. It was clones, and Rogan led them.
I sped up, using the Force. I looked back and he glared at me,
gaining. He got the faster speeder. I ran into Coruscant traffic,
trying to get lost in the crowd. I turned around buildings and into
the lower levels.
'I have to shake them,' I thought to myself. I looked back. I had
already lost 5 of the clones. Only one remained with Rogan. I weaved
up and over bridges and into dark alleys and around crowds. I looked
back and they were gone. I finally stopped running in an alley way.
It was now midnight. I hid in the corner and some creepy guys
walked up to me, laughing, and more than likely, drunk. From their
presence, I could tell they were there for their amusement. I was a
helpless little girl, alone, wearing little (I had taken my cloak off
in order to run faster so I was just in my tunic and some short
leggings that came down to my knees). I also had a few valuable items.
"Awe, are you all alone? Come here. I'll warm you up and keep you
company," one laughed. I was feet away from him but I could already
smell his breath. I think something died in there.
"Go away," I growled, hiding my tears, looking away.
"C'mon babe. Lets take you home," another snickered. The three of
them smirked.
"I said," I growled a little more forcefully, "leave me alone!"
"Dont be like that. We just wanna help. You got any trinkets for
us," another snickered.
"I don't have anything for you. You are going to leave. Now," I
glared. I was not in the mood. I stood up, wiping away my tears.
"Look babe, I don't think so. Not until you give us what we want,"
the first guy grinned, skimming over me. I felt my temper flare.
"Wanna take turns guys," the third laughed maniacally. I noticed he
was COVERED in dirt and grime. Haven't these idiots heard of a shower.
I waved my hand, giving them one final chance before I killed them.
"You will leave, now, and re-think your life," I ordered. Their minds
didn't budge.
"Lookey here boys. The kid thinks shes a Jedi. Bound her, then
we'll take her home. Make sure no one can hear her scream... or moan,"
the first guy sneered. I accidentally read his mind. I wish I hadn't.
'I can make her moan all night. I'll shut that wise cracking mouth of
hers by a present in my pants. She'll be all mine, and no one will
miss this runt. We'll dispose of her once I've had my fun. If she's
good, and does what I says and does it well, I may even let her live
for another night of my fun.'
I grabbed my lightsaber and unhooked it. The first person to lay a
hand on me was going to be a shish kabob! I glared. I knew what fun
they were thinking about. They had another thing coming.
"I dunno boss. This brat looks somewhat dangerous," the third guy
stammered.
"This kid? Shes helpless and weak, and ours now. Don't worry, doll.
We'll take good care of ya," the second one called over to me.
"I SAID Leave. Me. ALONE!" I picked up the third guy by the Force
and threw him against the wall of the alley. He was terrified now and
darted away. I threw the second guy OUT of the alley. I heard a crash
and it didn't sound like he landed too comfortably with that SNAP I
heard. I then picked up the first guy and choked him. "You need to
learn a few manners to a woman," I growled. I then closed my hand and
heard a crack. I then let his limp body slump to the floor. I grinned
and wiped the warm blood off my cheek. "And no one will miss you
either," I whispered.
I'll be honest, it felt good. Not because it was self defense and I
was still alive. It just felt good. I could blame them for my friends
death, and now they were dead. It was no where near even, but it felt
good to get rid of the anger. Even just some of it. I then remembered
my friends and went back to the temple. It had all been burned. I
found my master's lightsaber. I clasped it onto my belt too, even if
it was still hot. I found Nydo, dead, but unscathed from the fire. I
brushed his hair back from his eyes and wondered if he really believed
he would make it. I managed to save a few lightsabers, and a cloak
(Erisi's). I cried and hid in a corner, trying to feel safe again.
Like none of it happened. It didn't work. I was alone, once again.

I woke up quickly. I managed to quiet a scream, but I noticed I had
been crying. It wasn't the first time I had relieved that memory. I
sat up and looked around. 3 in the morning. I could wait until
training. I laid back down and cleared my mind, forcing myself not to
think anymore of the memory. May the Force be with you.
