Let the waterworks begin

Go me =). I was finally able to get my tree put up yesterday &
the train assembled underneath it. I also got my laundry done & some
garland hung around my apartment. I put a couple decorations
outside, but it was so freaking cold I didn't run the extension chord
to plug them up yet, lol. I'll get them up & running today since
Rayne won't be home until tom now.
I miss her. She spent the weekend at her father's house &
was supposed to be back home today, but he txt msgd me this morning &
said his girlfriend took the car & carseat for the evening. Wtg
planning ahead there. Which no big deal I could just drive out there
& get her myself & just keep $5 of the $10 I was going to give them
for gas for watching her this past week. Except the girlfriend won't
be back till sometime late tom morning & she has no phone, so no way
to reach her. Therefore, if I went & got Rayne tonight, I wouldn't
have a babysitter for her tom morning when I went in to work. So I'll
have to wait until I get off work tom for her to come home.
At least today is Cameron's day off, so I can talk to him on the
computer & see him through his webcam. I'll try to wrap some more
presents while we're talking so I can maybe get that done before
Rayne comes home. I need to mail off his first present to him & run
by a store to pick up some toilet paper & a couple other things as well today. There just aren't enough hours in a day sometimes. I swear I'm going to remember to revacuum my living room where I dragged out all of that Christmas stuff & it got gold glitter & fake tree shakings in my carpet.
Well I got a promotion finally to lead housekeeping over the
cluster here. I'll be running the houskeeping dept for the
supervisor's on their days off for the different marriotts in this
area. 2 main ones, my own & then the Courtyard just down the
street. The 5th day of each work week is just whoever needs me or I
just work the desk at my hotel again. I'm hoping someone will need
me =(. I can't take too much more of this type of customer service.
One of the guests finally pushed all my buttons & made me cry
this morning. There's a guy that's been staying in this hotel for 3
days & is schedule to stay for a little over a month & ever since he
checked it he's been demanding we bend over backwards to cater to his
every whim & screaming & yelling at us the whole time we do it. I
honestly think he has a problem w/women because he doesn't talk to
Ben (the engineer) or Jonathan (the new front desk clerk) the way he
talks to me, the housekeepers, & the housekeeping supervisor
Rosemary. He talks to us like we're stupid when really he's the one
not listening or making any sense. He calls the desk nonstop all
morning either demanding or complaining or just plain yelling. If
he's so unhappy, why the hell doesn't he go to another hotel??? I'll
tell you why, because no other hotel would freaking put up w/him or
even do half the things we have for him.
This morning, Ben went out & bought him a new router so he could
hook up more than 1 computer in his room because we couldn't get the
wireless set up for him that he demanded. Well the guy calls back
down again for the 10th time saying the new router isn't working. So
I try to get Ben to go back up there to help the guy & he refuses &
tells me to call him back & talk him through it because he's just an
idiot. Which is true but the idiot is not going to listen to me,
just like the engineer wasn't. But whatever, I'm a good little
indian & as Ben was walking out the front door to go run an errand, I
did what I was told & tried to call the guy back & walk him through
getting on the internet. I was rewarded with being verbally
assaulted & finally just had to cut him off & say I'll get the
engineer up there & then hang up the phone. Then I called Ben on his
cell phone on the verge of tears & asked him to please take care of
the guy because I can't do it anymore.
Thankfully Ben turned his truck around & stormed up to the guy's
room & put him in his place. The guy is still a guest, & he's still
paying, so we still have to use a degree of professionalism. But Ben
did point out to the idiot that he was on the internet just like I
was trying to tell him & that his 2nd computer wasn't even plugged
into the router. He was still trying to access the wireless that
doesn't exsist, JUST LIKE I WAS TRYING TO TELL HIM. If the butthead
had stopped yelling for 5 seconds that "I'm not listening to him",
maybe he would've realized who really wasn't listening.
