A De-Googled Realization...everyone should read

Generation 'Y'
The generation of technology where for any question you need answered,
one can easily turn to Google or other search engines on the internet.
Every answer you desire inside of a network, transferred through a
computer system.
But not every question can be answered with a search engine.
Frustratingly enough these questions require thinking and time to
consider different outcomes. One can not always be impulsive and live
their life by what the forum rates for one's post or the value of the
highest poll.
It is very frustrating, because it isn't what I am used to anymore.
Thinking on my own, for myself seems to be the biggest turmoil in my life.
Money: where to spend, how to make more, how to invest it, hell, how
to save it.
Google: "How to make, save and manage money while being able to afford
clothes, food and gas."

Jobs: which will put me in a socially acceptable environment without
feeling the burn on my cheeks when I say "I clean tables for a living"
or "I work for a non-profit organization making $5 cooking food for
hundreds of unappreciative people." Ohh.. enticing..I want to be YOUR
friend.
Google: "Craigslist"

Location of abode: logical? practical? or convenient? Because it would
be convenient living in the city closer to my job, however the passed
four years of our lives are invested in this rural town of nothingness
except, well.. your job.. and daycare. Oh yeah, your family lives here
too, but who said moving further from them would hurt anything?
Certainly wouldn't hurt me.
Google: "Online diary no one will discover so I can bitch and moan
about living out in the middle of nowhere too close to in-laws"

Groceries: strike that. Menus for daily meals: Okay, my three year old
eats about three or four different things that she enjoys, she will
tolerate one or two vegetables, and reluctantly poke at two different
starches. This leaves me with not being able to expand in my cooking
adventures and experiments to make more hearty and tasteful meals.
Google: "How to make quick easy meals the entire family will enjoy
without the three year old crying for spagettios?"

Healthy lifestyle: I will just say that I literally Googled this in
the middle of a daily-dinner-toddler-meltdown-exceeding-thirty-minutes
one evening: "Why wont my three year old stop crying and eat the dinner I
cooked?" Long story short..

Cleaning: The clutter that filled up corners of rooms, piled neck-high
in closets, or shoved to the max in drawers has to get gone for
tranquil auras to relax the mind and soul, or something like that.
Google: "How to clean clutter, when you hate throwing away every
birthday card your mom sent or picture your daughter painted"

Fights: Well, who IS right? Lets go to the polls, 50% of women think
men should be more involved with the chores when their days end after
the last counter top is sanitized and the dishes and clothes are
cleaned and put away; 50% of men think women should live a day in
their hard lives that always ends with their feet up in front of the
TV with a beer.
Google: "How to ration relaxation with motivation"

Depression: Here is good one, because my guess is many common internet
addicts are depressed, so they all turn to the same place to vent,
advise, and escape. At least we know we are not alone, but for some
reason if really does not make us feel better, it just kills the time
until a better opportunity comes along. Internet fills the void.
Google: "Why am I such a whine-ass that can't balance work, school,
kids, and domesticated wife-style life?" [that may be a tough one]

Homework: Can't remember which page you saw the phrase "Device
Manager's command prompt is______", well guess who will never let you
down? Google. But wait.. I only scanned the chapter and didn't
actually learn anything, but the answer is right on the quiz. I am
satisfied for now.
Where do we go to slack while 'doing' homework? Facebook.

Examples of how life isn't as real as I thought it was. It is virtual
and when a real situation happens how does one deal with it on their
own? Wanna talk about motivation? I was about to Google "How to clean
and organize your house and to know what to throw away" before I got
on here and wrote this instead. I need to de-Google my life.
I am sending myself to rehab, which starts with... no more Facebook,
no more Google, no more downloading movies and music, no more
streaming movies on Netflix, no more watching movies at every meal
when the dinner table collects more bills I put off because I haven't
figured out how to "save and manage money" yet because I was probably
too busy putting my real life off for the passed three years.

And I used to surf...
