Chapter 6

The road was dark and eery, the streets were silent. Every
so often, they would pass a car going in the opposite direction.
Jayde looked over to her left, seeing Sally rubbing her eyes.
They had talked about everything from relationships, to
children, and food. Both of them had decided that they were
hungry for more than the peanut butter and jelly or turkey
sandwiches that they'd brought along. In fact, they'd
decided it was time to throw out the food from the cooler.
So, they stopped at a diner in a little town just outside
New Mexico. The food had been superb. They agreed to eat,
then toss all the other food out. The next morning, they'd
stop at a store and get new stuff for the cooler.

"You ready to stop?" Jayde asked. She was pretty tired as
well. She turned the music up a little bit, hoping that
moving to the music would give them both a little energy.

"Yea. I'm going to pull off and we'll get a hotel. I decided
I'm looking for one with a jacuzzi though."

Jayde smiled widely and put her hand in the air in victory.
"YES! Now you're speaking my language." Jayde answered. The
jacuzzi would be heaven on her aching muscles.

They pulled off the highway and followed the sign that
showed where all the restaurants and hotels were.

"Aha!" Sally squealed in excitement. "This hotel!" she
pulled into the lot. "I think it's time we splurge on
ourselves. We deserve room service."

Jayde smiled. She couldn't wait to see their room and then
dip into a jacuzzi. Oh it was going to be heaven.

An hour later, the girls were standing over a jacuzzi,
smiles on their faces.

Jayde dipped her toe in and sighed in ecstasy. "Who needs
sex?" she asked. "This is better than sex."

Sally laughed and followed suit. "Speak for yourself." she
answered. "However, I will say that if someone brought us
some chocolate I could be persuaded to believe you."

"Ooh and white wine." Jayde groaned, submerging herself in
the hot bubbly water.

"I don't know about all that!" Sally grinned.

"Ahhhh" Jayde said in response. "I've died and gone to heaven."
