How I got to the Covenant house

God is good, and he knows what's best for you. I've ben counting my blessings since I been in the Covenant house. The Covenant House is a shelter for teens under 21 years of age.(pregnant, with kids, or singles) I was in another shelter before the Covenant House and it was good. I had my own room with two beds for me and my daughter. Shared bathroom with two people, curfew was 10 o'clock, and I had a job. Although my job was not the best. It was something.my stay at women in need (which was the other shelter) ended because my childs father knowing I was in a shelter wit her felt that my daughter shouldn't be there and took her for the weekend (he had her during the weekend and I kept her during the week) and the following week knowing I would loose my placement( for me to live there my daughter had to be there wit me everyday). At first I thought it was horrible. I went to a single womens shelter run my Salvation Army. It wasn't that bad, instead of being placed with teens(who smoked, did each other faught and stole from each other) they placed me with women in their thirtys who already matured from all that and were there for the right reasons. Very thankful for that. I go into more details about my stay there but on feb 22 I had a court date for my custody battle and got a established court order and was able to ge into the Covenant House with my daughter. And my baby father no longer had the right to take her during the week willingly and he could be arrested for it . Huge blessing. I had my daughter with me and now lived in the covenant house which was a thirty day shelter whom help you to get a job, finish ged, and help you get into a permanant housing. I must say they really do provide genuine help and my testimony can vouch for that.
