WIBD - Part 13: Living a fortunate life...thanks for nothing MTV

This little tidbit is something I usually don't like to
think about. I am more than willing to talk about it,
though. It's basically something I just recently watched on
MTV. If you're not familiar with the 'True Life"
documentary series, it's MTV documenting anyone from any
parts of life and what they do is literally put the
subject's life on TV to see what it's like. For some, it
hits home pretty hard. For others, like myself, it's
another depressing piece of garbage that forces you to think
a bit. After that, you're back to normal. This particular
episode kinda hits me because it could have been a situation
where I could have ended up if it wasn't for my parents.

It's basically two teens, one a single mother and the other
a 16 y.o. kid. Both are living with parents who are
virtually broke and they had they're lives documented for
probably a month or so. My guess is that MTV was willing to
pay them to this. In their situations, I'd take the money
too. Anyway, let me focus on the 16 y.o. This kid named
Jobe lives with his mom and younger brother. Instead of
being a 'normal' teen, he has to worry about getting any
food or if his family will get evicted. Now, normally I
wouldn't really give two shits about anyone. I don't give
two shits about his situation. What got me is the stupidity
factor of his mother. Not only did she have Jobe and
struggled to raise him, but she ended up getting another kid
and now things are worse. I don't get it. She's that
stupid for keeping the first child and has no motivation to
make her life any better. He had to beg his mom to get a
goddamn job and she fucking goes off on him. If I was that
kid, I'd fucking raise hell. I'd say, "You know, I never
asked to be born into this shit you so loving set up for
me." I'd resent the fact that she put me in that situation
to begin with.

My situation is what some would die for if they were like
that kid Jobe. I live in a house that's being paid for by
my mom's pension. I work and make a decent/shit salary but
I can get what I want as long as I can save up for it. I
pay for the utilities and other expenditures on my check and
have my car's insurance paid for by my pops. Now, if anyone
who has to live like Jobe does, he's envy me. Hell, he'd
probably be outright jealous. I don't blame him. I blame
his stupid mother. She was too much into herself that she
had the kid and after that had another and live life day to
day like they were gonna be homeless. Funny thing though
(to get off the subject a bit) this kid has an XBox 360
which boggles me. How the hell can he afford an XBox and be
in his situation? That's probably the only thing he can do
to keep his mind off of his situation. What pisses me off
is that he has to work his ass off just so his mom can take
most of his money away. I'm sorry, but his mom and other
Americans like her are an absolute reason why our country is
the way it is. Besides the greedy, you have the lazy and
stupid. To live off the government because you got laid off
is one thing, but to not look for any job to try to make
ends meet is nothing short of retardation. You have to be a
retard if your own son is telling you to get a job. So what
does that idiot mom do? She goes to a culinary school.
Fine, if she had the money to pay for the classes and
actually get a job. Stupid because she has to take out
loans and if she doesn't get a job, she is now even deeper
in debt. The bitch should have gotten a job. She has no
fucking future and the way things are going for her now, her
kids can kiss any possible future for themselves.

This really is pathetic. The sad part is I can say this and
yet someone will tell me that I don't know what it's like
because I never lived that way. For those who think
that...of course I don't know that because my parents were
fortunate enough to force themselves to work their asses off
because they want to see a brighter tomorrow. I didn't have
parents who slacked off and just let the government pay them
so they have an excuse not to work. If they had that
mentality, I would have been in the same situation like
Jobe. I feel for the kid. I really do. However, he should
know that one person is telling him that his mom is a piece
of shit for raising a kid on her own with nothing and relies
on her kid to get money to survive.

Yeah. I can sit in front of my computers and say this shit.
Why? Because I know how hard it is in life. I should say
life in the US. Let's face it, out of countries that have
no means of helping their people, the US seems to be the
only country that talks more shit than actually doing. It's
sad to see that people who have the means help others in
foreign countries than help in their own country. You make
a shitload of money or you may be a celebrity and instead of
helping your own community, you're out trying to adopt a kid
from another country or advocating the need to help other
kids outside your own home. I'm an american born citizen
and I'm sickened on how we can take a kid like Jobe, exploit
his situation, and then pretend that we care. I know I
don't care. So thanks, MTV. You made me realize how petty
a company you are to think that what you put on TV is
something special. Thanks for nothing. Now, time to get on
my XBox 360 and make some new characters for WWE's SvsR 2010!
