Museum of Indian Culture

The last few days I have been trying to get things done
that I have been putting off for ever. First off, I went
two days ago to the Indian Museum near my town and brought
with me the hand to a figure in the diarama case (the
backdrop in which I painted a few years back)...I had
been protecting the hand that i had told the museum that i
would fix especially since I had been told long ago by my
mother that the three life size figures were on loan from
the Smithonian Museum! I had taken the fingers that had
broken off the hand before i left for the trail and then
Sunday went to the Museum and proceeded to restore the
piece to its proper place. I know the museum curator was
very pleased..haha. Nobody knew what happened to me or if
i even had the hand yet! I left for the Appalachian Trial
and left no trace!! So..after much time I am very pleased
to say that the hand is now back on the Native American
statue it belongs to. It wasnt really that bad. I repaired
it and mixed the paint to match the existing tone of the
statue...easy enough. I didnt charge them since i took
forever to get this project completed....but i did get
more work out of it...i have a small list of paid projects
to complete before the end of the year. Some are in the
attic of the old restored building and its a tad bit to
hot right now to be up there. So anyways....I was very
extremely happy to have completed that project! On another
note...I am going out tomorrow to paint in the local
parkway. I spotted the red barn flanked by trees (of which
I have painted twice already)and have decide to paint it
another time since I am not entirely sure where my
painting skills fall today. I am looking forward to
getting out there. Oh...I stopped in Blicks Artstore the
other day also and did a mental inventory of supplies I
want to purchase in the next few months. I think i will
focus alot on brushes this year. Perhaps try quite a few
different brands. We'll see how that works out for me!
