Cape Breton after seeing the tidal bore of Bay of Fundy

First the wedding went very well. NO complications, no
hitches, a glamorous and handsome pair, wonderful family,
assorted friends relieved at this marriage after C's
unfortunate first experience, a paranoid woman now in
Europe exactly points unknown after a most distressing
divorce and two children. She had cut Carlo off from his
friends almost immediately to his and their distress.

Then yesterday, still fatigued, we commenced our rainy
journey east. We tarried in the Maitland area to see the
so-called tidal bore off the Bay of Fundy-- a quick influx
of the tide up the stream bed -- and then went on to Cape
Breton.

Listened to a Cape Breton fiddler concert last night --
Buddy McDonald, a guitarist-singer-composer played with
Rachel DAvis, a 19 y.o. young woman fiddler. Both were
very good, but there is something about the
fiddle. "Nancy" the director of all this oversees a
nightly doing of this Ceilidh (pronounced Kay-Lee).
Apparently this is a Scotch Irish kind of thing that goes
on all over the area. Lots of audience participation --
sing along, dancing, requests, questions.

Today we plan to go to Louisbourg, the French fort that
has been reconstructed to the way it was prior to 1759
when the English finally defeated the French in the 7 year
war. We thought we'd do Peggy's Cove in the later part of
the week.
