back to the drawing board...

I completed another oil painting the other day. It is a
painting of a landscape with my girlfriend and her dog
sitting by a river. The scene was made up but it was a
good excercise in color balance between the various greens
that are always a challenge when doing landscapes. Well,
at least for me. The values are so close together that it
takes some imagination sometimes.
Lets see, Yesterday I went got a call from Lehigh
University (ArtsLehigh) and they asked me if I would help
out this girl Loly who is putting on an art auction to
help out an artist acquantance who does tree trimming on
the side. His harness broke and he fell 80 feet out of a
tree. So she needed easels for the show to display works
on. I dropped them off that night. I dropped off three
large wood easels and two large aluminum easels and two
table top easels. Hope it helps some towards the auction
some. Other than that...running around alot doing stuff
for family and not much time to take care of my own stuff.
So...other than my visiting my sick mom Im taking this
coming week (starting right now) as my art sabatical. Not
sure what that means but I am saying no to everyone that
wants to dip into my "Art" time. I just cant accomplish
anything if I keep running all over the place. Tomorrow is
the art action at Lehigh University Campus Square at six I
believe. Im going to check that out and the other art
event going on for first friday. I was going to go down to
Philadelphia First Friday but unfortunately...this was
rent week. Yek..lol. So..it shall have to wait till next
month First Friday.
Right now Im sitting at this printing company waiting
for them to get my freight ready. Then Im off up to New
York. The city is looking pretty nice with the assortment
of Chistmas decorations about. I really do love seeing all
the decorations everywhere. ciao
