cotton plant, ar

i saw cotton plant mentioned in the arkansas blog.
someone's written a biography about rosetta tharpe. she
was born in 1915 in cotton plant. my grandparents lived in
cotton plant since the 30s. i wish they were here so i
could ask about tharpe.

some ny paper said one could get a glimpse of how cotton
plant used to be. while i don't remember cotton plant
academy and all that, i do remember joe wong's downtown
store and how my grandmother proudly paraded us up and
down the wooden sidewalks on saturday (or was it friday?)
night.

i learned too late that my (step) grandfather died in
2005. what gets me is how that incubator whore put my
grandmother in a nursing home, but she welcomed my
grandfather in her home. i didn't know my biological
grandfather cos i wasn't allowed. the ol bitch mentioned
that he died in the early 80s or something. i just never
asked much about frank hines. well, i guess i could always
turn to the ouija board or something.

i truly miss the people who meant so much to me. i rely so
much on memories and stuff like i just read. hopefully i
can find some solace and bridge something together until i
see them again.
