win, lose or draw

"The greatest pleasure is to vanquish your enemies and chase
them before you, to rob them of their wealth and see those
dear to them bathed in tears, to ride their horses and clasp
to your bosom their wives and daughters."

- Temujin, (Genghis Khan)

Training class today was boring, although it went by
quickly, which was rather to me anyways, surprising.
We got to do some silly "role plays" through calls, and
of course, we've been doing these little quiz things, so
far, I've scored the highest, and did it legitimately,
unless the last quiz today, I didn't get 1 answer right,
but only because I hadn't heard the question, so I said I
got it. When I'm given the "prize" tomorrow for having
answered all of them right, I'm going to give it out to
Grant, the monolithic straight laced monkey who tried
so very hard to beat me. His score on the quizes; 34,
mine 39 1/2. I could have won without lying about that
last point, but considering that I was only half a point
away.

Frell em I say. This is war. Work is war. Life is struggle
And I will do what I have to, to come out on top, and even
if I have to claw, scratch and bleed my way I will.

Winning is everything. The journey is almost as important,
but on some days, there is that drive that keeps me burning,
keeps me going. I sometimes get too caught up in the details
and lose sight of the goal, the win, it's not even about the
prize, I could honestly care less about what it is that I
win, so long as I do.

It's the struggle which pushes me forward, which enlivens me
