like a legend

The week Gary and i spent together while his girlfriend was
in alaska is bronzing in my memory. It seems now like a beautiful
dream i had one night that was very vivid, but is becoming old.
Old; not in a bad way, not old as in it will die and be
buried under my mind. Old as in history. Like a legend
-of a girl, 19, and a man, 24. and the dissaproval and
threats of an army that stood between them. but who were
able to break through the verbal fires [for awhile] and
finally, finally! get a chance to taste each other;

the way you would taste something you love but haven't had
the chance to get in years and years.
