Odium theologicum

The Latin phrase Odium theologicum, literally meaning
"theological hatred", is the name given to the particular
rancor and hatred generated by disputes over theology.

The atheist philosopher Bertrand Russell explained odium
theologicum in the following way:

"The most savage controversies are those about matters
as to which there is no good evidence either way.
Persecution is used in theology, not in arithmetic, because
in arithmetic there is knowledge, but in theology there is
only opinion."

Bertrand Russell

("An Outline of Intellectual Rubbish'" in Unpopular Essays 1950)

One of these days, I'll learn to stop reading things
that make even my brain turn ill at the thought of having
to think for more than 3 or four minutes... this is damn
near contiguous with beating my brain against a wall and
demanding a refund on toilet paper.

or, something... I art weird.
