Perfection

i've been called a perfectionist before....sure it's not as
horrible as being labeled a lazy mexican but it is somewhat
the same, only on the opposite polar end.
let me tell you how to assume the title of someone who (in
calvin's father's words) 'gets things done'.
i saw a movie a long time ago (like 4 years?) with asians in
it. i remembered this movie because it was great. it had
something with 'tomorrow' (i'm positive of this) in its
title and it also had the best quote ever.
"don't worry about being 110% be 101%, that extra 1% is all
you need, study that extra 6 minutes, and volunteer for
those extra 15 mins, it makes not difference to you but
revolutonizes the world around you".
well at least that would be the quote if asians were able to
articulate themselves, above is my own philosophy.
you see, life isn't about being perfect, all of life has
it's faults, the path to perfection is paved by pathology.
your pathology should be staying that one extra minute or
volunteering those extra 15 minutes.
shit. i have a job now (i'm 24) where i am so fucking
happy. why am i happy?
because my boss is my best friend and so is my supervisor.
why are they my best friends?
because i made them feel that they can trust me to get shit
done.
that's all anyone ever wants when you are beneath them and
that is all that anyone ever wants whe you are above them.
there is no difference.
give that 101% and you've conquered the world.
sure.
i've been called a workaholic by my fiancee, but the fact
is, i am happier than most people my age and if there is one
'aholic' i wouldn't mind to be labeled as it is this.
and i guess i am just lucky...i love my job...and by now you
are sick of this journal entry.
you hate your job.
you hate your life.
and then came the second best quote ever.
from six feet under.
"make the best out of your life........not the life you
imagine you can have, but out of the one you do have."
combine these two quotes and the end result?
the life you've dreamed of.
