From viewing il Postino,
The ocean waters bring boats full of men assuming
Dinner will be made, they will be paid
They?ll have one beer too many, but they will keep
consuming

The beautiful Island will show its hill from the shore
The more the men gaze, the more they long for home
The ocean waters bring boats full of men assuming

Weary from the day of fishing, the men will not go home
But to the bar they will go as men and not alone
They?ll have one beer too many, but they will keep
consuming

They?ll go home, go to sleep, and wake up the next day
Following the same routine for eight hours or more each
morn
The ocean waters bring boats full of men assuming

They arrive on boats and walk on docks to reach the land
They reach the familiar building; waitresses put a drink
into their hands
They?ll have one beer too many, but they will keep
consuming

Good night, sleep well; I?ll be out until the morn
Morning! The sun is rising. A new day has just begun
The ocean waters bring boats full of men assuming
They?ll have one beer too many, but they will keep
consuming
