Its begun...

I am just about to leave to start working on the mural
again. Tonight is the first night I shall be applying color
to it. My plan is to initially block in the masses leaving
my charcoal drawing on the wall if at least very faint.
Sky, middle ground land and forefront ground. Perhaps umber
in the major land items such as selective large trees,
rocks, and places where shading is needed to give it 3
demensions. As far as the really close up tree stuff...Im
really in new territory. Ive painted many landscapes over
the years but close up life size and realistic is a bit
nerveracking. The problem isnt making the leaves and
branches etc...its putting the background behind it and
then making it look real when its all together. I dont want
to sponge in bushes in the background or anything. Thats
pretty lame on a painting like this. I guess I shall figure
it out sometime this week. Well..My guess is I just do the
background then as I fill in the objects the painting will
take on its own form an guide me. That happens alot. Thats
part of the fun of paintings. So..if you understood the
last sentence...were on the same page...if not...I
understand. chow.
