Rain**poem**

Rain
Sometimes I wish that the sun would go away
I just want it to rain again just like every time before
Than maybe everything would be okay again

Rain. Fall rain. Fall
Beat upon my face until I’m drenched in your gracefulness

Never miss a beat, walking on sacred water
Thunder, lightning, rain, love began at last but too late
Rain will never miss beat, never miss a spot

Rain. Fall rain. Fall
Beat upon my face until I’m drenched in your gracefulness
again

I was thinking that maybe the rain would heal my wounds
I was thinking that the sun seems too happy to bring
healing
And blues skies are just as good as grey

Let me be alone this one time
Let me walk in the rain
No jacket, no hood or umbrella to keep me dry
Just me, my clothes, and the rain

Rain. Fall rain. Fall
Beat upon my face until I’m drenched in your gracefulness
again

Just like the protection they try to offer when you’re
young
Just like the memories of mommy and daddy telling the rain
to go away
Just like the time it rained and you got sick and you were
in bed
Just like that time I felt sick of the sun and prayed so
hard that it would rain one more time

Rain. Fall rain. Fall. Come out and fall to the ground
Rain. Fall rain. Fall. Let me play in the puddles that you
make
Rain. Fall rain. Fall. Save me and give me some sanity
Rain. Fall rain. Fall. The sun has no reason to keep you
from me
