Heart**poem**

Heart
Signs and arrows point you and guide you in one direction
Your heart tells you other wise not to follow their
instructions
But can you hear the people’s oblivious objections?
A missing link to your life is gone with simple reduction
of love

Words and images of life flash by on paper
They call out to you, reaching for your sympathy
Your head tells you this is wrong by why have empathy?
A missing link to your life is gone with simple reduction
of hate

Asphyxiated on words you could say
Feeling nostalgic like any other day
Morose creature of habits
A missing link to your life is gone with simple reduction
of laughter

Deny me anything you wish but life
All I have can be yours
I know my missing link and it starts with you
And what would life be without love, hate and laughter?
I would be apathetic. You’d be very unsympathetic.

I’d love to give you this one chance
To stop following the maps that were made for you
Follow your heart, let it guide your every step
Let me show you how to live
