Woke Up To The Sound Of Freezing Rain

It snowed/ freezing rained last night. Dude it's only the
fourth day of December, we're not supposed to get snow/
freezing rain yet! That stuff doesn't usually crank up
until a little after January or February. Sigh... Now
this means getting to that hell hole of an office tomorrow
is going to be hard. I know the fabulous Mark wouldn't
want any of is "precious" staff missing a day of work
because of a little bad weather.

Oh God, now I'm just thinking of that dreadful company
commercial of ours, with the guy sitting in the wheelchair
staring pitifully out the window waiting for nurse Lisa
(yes that chick in the commercials and ads does have a
name) who's driving though this storm to get to him...

*Rolls eyes and sighs*

Yeah, yeah, yeah... Spare me your overdramatic bull
crap. That's all well and good if you're a nurse, but I'm
office staff, hello. Someone isn't going to get sick and/
or die if I don't show up to work.

However, before I went on this little mini-work rant, I
was saying how horrified I was that it snowed and stuff
last night. I know when I woke up to go to the bathroom
at about 4 this morning, I saw it was all bright and red-
orange outside; a definite sign that it snowed. But I
heard against the sky-light ice chips falling, which is a
definite sign of freezing rain. Then as I was getting
ready to go back to sleep, I thought I heard the ice chips
give way to actual rain. I was hoping that it would get
warm enough for the rain to wash away the ice, but nope,
didn't happen.

Even now, I'm looking at the weather bug thing on Toshi
and it's telling me that it's only 32 degrees outside. Oh
God, the temperature at which water freezes. Unless it
gets higher then 32 and stays that way overnight, there's
a high probability that tomorrow I'm going to need a pair
of ice skates to get to work.

Ah well... Welcome to winter...

Last night J'aime and I actually ventured out up to the
King of Prussia. We went to the Joann's up on that end.
Which, bleg, that slot is kinda a waste of time. What I
want to do is find the Joann superstore out in
Downingtown. But Downingtown is way off in the mist
somewhere and I know going there won't make a huge
difference especially when it comes to getting material.

Damn you Wadsworth fabric slot for closing down, you
bastards! That was the last great fabric store in this
death trap of a city. Now you're going to force J'aime
and I to make runs up to New York to get fabric.

I know New York's garment district is supposed to be a
seamstress's mecha, but I hate going to New York. Every
time I go to New York it's a fiasco, but I may just have
to bite the bullet and trudge on up there. Either that or
take the risk and order fabric online. Either way you
slice it, it's going to be a fiasco.

Oh before I go, my date with good old what's-his-name (yes
I still don't know his name) was really nice. I'd like to
see him again if he can pencil me in, since his work keeps
him very, very, very busy. However, before my date Friday
night, I brought the 3rd season of Home Movies... Oh it
is so f-ing hilarious! Highly recommended if you want to
see something completely silly.

Woo-hoo: This has been a very good weekend.
