Constant State Of Flux

It's 1017, Monday. 1119am. Cold. Windy.

I think about the most random things at time. The last few
moments of class, while I was lectured the different sorts
of tests we can employ to locate points of interest on a
surface ... it sort of dawned on me that when people go to
war, the whole purpose is to win.

Barring diplomatic and peaceful exchanges; Resorting to
the lowest common denominator in a struggle for who
is "right" ... comes the idea of physical struggle. It's
here that we are given a sort of ... twisted Hobbian
example of dominance.

It's here that I realize, that to win a armed conflict,
you have to force as many unfair and crippling scenarios
onto your opponent to win.

But then it occurred to me. If the world is constantly in
a state of flux with regards to social, economic, and
technological development ... doesn't that mean we're in a
constant state of conflict? It's just, our state of
readiness or some kind of directional derivative which
could be derived from vague categories ... is constantly
changing based on who's alive in the country.

... And if we're in a constant state of conflict, does
that mean there is such a thing as peace? Or is, peace,
really, just what that dude said a long time ago? That is
peace, is just a brief period inbetween wars.

... As I did in the last entry, I think I made another
bizzarely incorrect assumption about humans.

That assumption is, that armed conflict is the very last
means of arbitration.
