Aa-chan

Diary of a Deranged Fangirl

Well, At Least It's Friday

Although I would have much rather it been Saturday. I'm
really sleepy today and wanna go home. I always wanna go
home don't I?

I should make up a little jar, sorta like a swear jar, but
use it for every time I say I wanna go home. But I'd be
happier with the jar and the money that goes into said jar.

I have I ever mentioned how much I really don't like
working full-time? Oh, I have. Well this is a redundant
entry now isn't it? Well here, let's move on to something
different, cosplay.

Once again, I must prepare myself for another anime
convention. I'm going for only two new costumes this
time. I think this round is going to be the final round of
Trinity Blood cosplay. There were a boatload of characters
I was going to attempt to do, but bah... I've lost
interest in Trinity Blood since they said Funimation was
bringing it out.

Actually I lost interest in it since it became an anime.
Once it became an anime I knew it's days were numbered.
Which was why I was adamant about dressing as Esther in
2003 and last year. I knew once the anime came out it
would inevitably come out here and the posers would come
out in full force. And so far I've been absolutely correct.

On livejournal, the Trinity Blood community was one of the
first ones I joined (that and Metal Gear). Back then there
were only 34 people. The last time I looked it was over
400 people! And I'm sure only a handful of people know
that Trinity Blood was a book first not a managa or an
anime.

Okay getting back to the topic. I'm going to do one last
Trinity Blood cosplay and then hang up my crosses once and
for all. Cause I know next year... I know next year it's
just going to be poser city.

The other outfit I'm doing is another Chi spectacular.
Since not a lot of people don Chi anymore, I figured I
could get away with doing one more Chi costume. This time
I'm going to do the outfit from this pretty picture. It's
another one of those costumes that I've never seen anyone
do, so you know I'm all about that.

I also wanna do the proper alterations to "Ordained by
God". The bodice was starting to fray, so I have to
reinforce the stitching. But I'll wear that and try to get
some pictures this time. Why do all my Lolita outfits end
up never getting pictures taken of them? Ah, the mysteries
of humanity...

I do wanna get started on these before October, but for the
Chi dress, I have to order the fabric online. I found this
slot that sells fabric wholesale, so I was going to get 15
yards of mirror organza from them. I think the total cost
was something like $54.00. So you can't beat that with a
bat really.

The only thing that's going to mega expensive is that
clergy cloth for when I do my Trinity Blood costume. Damn
the fabric slot on Wadsworth for closing. Sigh... I have
to go back to that fabric store on 8th, which I loathe more
then anything else on earth. Actually I'm tempted to take
a look down in the fabric district, but Philly's fabric
district is such a sham. But I'll see what's going around
cause November will be coming out of the woodwork soon
enough.

Shit... November is my Aa-chan spending spree month
too... Shit, between Anime USA, the release of the new
Castlevania game, the release of Subsistence, and Home
Movies season 3's release I'm going to be broke as hell.
Maybe I should find a game store and pay for Castlevania
and Metal Gear upfront, so I don't have to worry about it.

Well at least Usa's reg is paid for already. That's one
less expense I have to worry about...

Woo-hoo: Wai, another couple of months until the next
convention. I could really go for going to a con every
three months. Now if only I could do that and get paid for
it, that would be perfect!

Barf: You know the drill, I wanna go home, I don't wanna
work, bla, bla, bla!

Current Song: Show Wesugi's Tango
