fasting regimen

I fast for health reasons. Started in May 03. Did it once
weekly as animals that fasted survived longer than those
who ate ad libitum. Then in Aug 04 realized two things:
(1) I was heavier than I liked. (2) that fasting was so
easy I should do it more than once weekly, up to 3
days/week.

Never more than 24 hours at a time. Have done it more
3/week than less than that now for the year. Am 20 lb
lighter. No problem in following the regiment. On fasting
deays, only intake is water and coffee plus wine or other
liquor in the evening, but not overdoing it. I also nibble
at my neighbor's raspberries. But that's it. I eat freely
on the other days, even overdoing it. but have not
violated a single week, that is, I've fasted at least
once/week since May 03.
