A Perfect Summer Day

It was a beautiful and quiet day today. The weather was
cooler and I spent the day gardening, talking to John,
quilting, baking and doing a bit of housework. I listened
to the birds chattering outside, pet the cats, folded
laundry, weeded, said a prayer, and planned my week.

We postponed doing our errands and shopping in town to
tomorrow afternoon after church. I need to do more laundry
and to vacuum and maybe make a banana cake and some cookies
for John's lunch but tomorrow, too, promises to be another
perfect summer day.
