Someone lent me the movie "The Thomas Crown Affair". Its
supposed to be about an art heist at the Met museum in
Manhattan. I didnt see it yet but it sounds good. I have
the template for the art show fliers now but I dont have
the person to print them out. He is away from town for two
days so I need to take care of it Friday for sure. I have
the Show meeting on Sunday. I now have only seven artist
who have gave me a definate yes to being in the show. Half
that many havent replied to my phone calls yet but then in
the summer i can understand that people get busy. Also if
there anything like me they wont be calling for a few days.
Im pretty notorious for putting things like that in the
things to do bin. I have been playing around with ideas and
sketches for the artwork I would like to do in the show.
Also the show rack. I will take a picture of the rack when
its complete (I still havent decided on what to do) and put
it on Grovestreet (my link at the bottom of the page).
Also...I need to buy all the frames for the show. Things
will work out in the end. I have absolutely no doubts about
that. I gotta month to the art show. Thats more than a
lifetime!!! I always do work better under pressure also.
So today I slept through my acmoore craft store job
again. Yep..called them an hour after they closed. I still
have no idea why they dont can my ass..haha. This is only
the 20th time this year I slept through my entire shift
without calling. I didnt get into pennsylvania (home) until
this afternoon and arrived home at three. Then I set the
alarm for six thirty but must have shut it off. Burning the
wick at both ends I guess. I was in the truck all night
after delivering in Manhattan. I was waiting for a place to
open out on Long Island and the funny-ist thing happened
when they did. The forklift driver (after being warned my
truck was to low for the dock and dont go into it..just
drop the load at the tail) drove into the truck and got
bottomed out half in the truck and half out. So a simple
pickup ended up taking an hour and a half. We tried
everything to get the forklift unstuck then ended up
building a ramp out of a door and backing onto it to raise
the truck up a foot. It actually worked. I gotta say it
must have been 120 degrees in that truck box. So all in all
I ended up working about 14 hours total. Power napped when
I got home I did. Well.... I gotta fly
later
