Too Tired

See, this is my own fault for not going to bed at 10 like
I'm supposed to. I stayed up last night playing MGS3.
I've been writing Love's Sorrow feverishly lately, and I
play certain parts of that game to give me inspiration. So
in addition to playing the escape from Yevgeny's slot (post
torture chamber sequence) and playing The Sorrow's board, I
also had the nerve to play the entire Virtuous Mission from
the very beginning.

The only reason I was playing that, besides inspiration for
the story was I was trying to see what Mama's bridge outfit
really looked like. I was working on the strappy things
last night and I wanted to see the entire outfit looked
like. Her straps are a lot easier to make then Papa's
are.

His straps criss-cross twice in the back then do this weird
Y shape thing in the front. Mama's is pretty
straightforward. They cross once in the back, go down the
butt together, then make a V shape up in the front.

But when I finished the straps, and had it over my "Freedom
flex" jumpsuit, it looked really good. Then I found my
blue bandanna that I had made a few years ago (just because
I sometimes like wearing it when I play Metal Gear) and
combed my hair back and put the bandanna on, and oh my
God... Talk about looking just like Mama! I can't wait
until my black bodysuit comes, that's just going to be the
icing on the Mama cake. I swear, once I have all the
components, I'll take a picture of to show you guys.

Wow, I'm getting really excited about Otakon. J'aime and I
were working on costumes Saturday. Since I finally got
someone to be in our cosplay skit, I decided to add to the
cosplay roster, Chi of Chobits. I know, it's a beat to
death cosplay yes. But, I'm doing an outfit I don't think
I've ever seen anyone do, and it's for a worthy cause; an
absolutely zany skit. So, I don't mind doing something
beat to death.

But I'm really looking forward to going to Otakon this
year. We're doing the panel, then we're doing a skit for
the first time since the Anime Masterpiece Theater skit,
and (And this is my favorite part of all this) I'm getting
out of the office to do something I love for a few days.
Even it the convention itself is just okay, it beats the
hell outta sitting in this office with my dick in my hand.

Speaking of holding something in your hand, today I caught
the subway by myself and as I got off the train and walked
down the hall, there were two guards kinda just standing by
the newspaper hole talking. One of them had this big
intimidating German Shepard and the other guy was standing
there holding some kind of big black semi-automatic rifle?!

As I passed those dudes I was just flabbergasted and
couldn't help but wonder why they were there, but then I
remembered about what happened in London last week, so the
were probably on patrol or something.

In a way it's comforting to see people patrolling to make
sure the subway system here is safe, but in another way,
it's a bit disconcerting to see them just standing around
talking and not actively doing anything.

Woo-hoo: Wai, getting ready for Otakon! How I do so love
con hopping.

Barf: Wah, it's 39 days until Otakon... Sigh, why can't I
have a never-ending summer vacation.
