stolen computer so can't read poem

Somehow I was leader of a group that was to do a poetry
reading; this included a poem of my own. We congregated but
the computer I'd left on a stand was gone, as had also been
stolen some other valuable items on a previous occasion. So
I was embarrassed twice, unable to read the poem and the
dupe because I'd left the item when it was likely to have
been taken. Confusion ensued and I felt bad, frustrated,
upset, irritable. Now this seemed a restaurant and I was
venting my frustration to a waiter, who seemed confused and
upset at my rage. He went over to talk to a superior and I
realized I was the problem. I simply took a piece of pastry
(not nearby gourmet hamburgers with a fancy topping) and
ate it walking away.
