Sat/Sun Day

Didn’t take me long to handle the back yard, I threw
everything that belonged next door to the fence, panels of
wood/etc. The squirrels eat through Val’s garbage, yet not
one of them goes down into the yard to retrieve what the
varmints have strewn, found used aluminum foil from their
BBQ’s and other identifying pieces of garbage. Ms Joe
(Val’s Mother) swept out front a few days ago, neither
Val/J/or her son will pick up after themselves or their
company.
Shawn called, they’re on their way back, he’ll be dropped
off in Kingston and the Family will continue here. He
sounded a bit shaken, told me that he loved me and I asked
him if he was ok, he said he was and we ended the convo.
Planning to better organize the music in my virtual
libraries, instrumentals in Musicmatch, all others in
Windows Media. Now on to the laundry. . . .
The place is looking pretty good, didn’t put the bookcases
together yet, that would make much more room though.
Doesn’t look like Shawn will be putting the kids in the
other room, they’re all sleeping in one room, don’t
understand that but it’s their choice. I’m anticipating
drama, with Toya in the center, her best bet is to mend the
beginning of the rift between herself and Val; don’t think
that’ll happen. Toya isn’t a fighter, if you’re in the
hood, you should be able to throw them blows; or defer to
everyone that steps to you.
She just called me, they’re in Kingston to finish cleaning
the house, Shawn had to go to work for a minute. I asked
Toya what happened to the Coach, he was separated from his
Wife, having problems. The police have arrested the Wife’s
boyfriend, he’s been charged with 1st degree murder, among
other things. Because the investigation is still underway,
there’s a restriction on the information surrounding the
murder, this has to be bothering Shawn; looks like it’ll be
a long night! Working on my room now, when it’s done the
house will be decent, working up a good sweat.
6/26/05 When Toya and the kids returned, I was at the
stove, it was around 10pm; when I turned around again Shawn
was behind me. The Coach’s death highlighted mortality for
Shawn, he grabbed me and told me that he loved me, I tried
to downplay the severity of the moment; Shawn was scared!
I’m hoping that he grabbed his wife close to him, something
tells me that he didn’t, he hasn’t told her what he found
out about the Coach’s murder, he’s not sharing with her and
he’s supposed to. I began eating dinner, Shawn and Toya
began getting the kids ready for bed, I told them about the
waffles I made and asked if the kids were hungry; they
were! Fed everybody, Shawn headed to the store for ice
cream (we’d add the Smirnoff to it later), Toya and Shawn
ate, we all headed to the back porch. Shawn wanted to get
depressed, he didn’t know that what he felt was a selfish
desire to keep the Coach near, as opposed to the
celebration of his passing; he and I will need to talk
about that. I started playing with the kids, to tire them
out, we all began laughing because the kids are always
running into things and falling down. The laugh riot began
when Jr. put my skates on, he was doing alright for a
minute, when he fell, he just fell sideways; slowly. Shawn
and I had a bit of the Smirnoff’s Strawberry Twist with the
Strawberry Ice Cream, he mentioned that he wasn’t going to
drown his sorrow in alcohol, I told him that wasn’t an open
option anyway. We gave the kids some ice cream and sent
them to bed shortly afterwards. Shawn and Toya began
watching “Constantine”, I began to doze and decided to call
it a night, kissed Toya/hugged Shawn.
He wanted me to go shopping with them this afternoon, I
wanted to enjoy my home alone, my selfishness; I take it
when I can get it! I cooked tonight, fried and BBQfried
chicken, sweet potatoes and green beans. It was
oppressively hot today, but I got quite a bit done. Charles
is supposed to return home tomorrow. I’ll see Brian and
give this herb back to him, we’ll talk about my experience.
I got mail from Kim today, a short message telling me how
boring her days are and how much she misses me. I called
Louisa, she needed to get to bed early, Justin’s been
getting up early! Louisa’s Mother hasn’t been as well as
expected and with both of their memories suffering, life is
difficult at best.
