The Bad Got Worse

So Greece was absolutely awesome -- it was surprisingly
fun going with my mom even tho I definitely didn't get to
go out late with the majority of the girls. The scenery
was absolutely amazing, the Aegean Sea was so clear, it
looked like a post card, and I made a few new friends out
of the experience.

But by Sunday I was ready to come home, so the rest of the
week dragged. Then on Tuesday my dad called (which was
sorta strange bc he would only call in the morning to be
our wake-up call)... so immediately I knew it was bad news
about my dog Kira. He told me that she had taken a turn
for the worse and that he was going to have to put her
down in an hour and a half. I was absolutely numb when he
told me this -- and to make things worse my dad, who never
ever cries, started crying quietly on the phone. With
that I absolutely lost it and Sarah, my friend on the
trip, just held me while I cried into the phone with my
dad.

The worst part was to come tho. My mom had gone out to
dinner with my other friend and wasn't back yet, so it was
up to me to tell her when she got back. My dad said he'd
call in an hour to tell her, but she wasn't home when it
was time for him to call. Finally FINALLY she came in the
door, took one look at me, and she knew. With that, my
dad called like literally 30 seconds later and it was just
bad. Everyone was crying.

So now, it's been 2 days since Kira was put down, I've
been home for 2 hours and I'm completely wiped. And the
dumb-asses at work scheduled me to work tomorrow... but
I'm not going in... I'm sure they'll figure something
out.

I got into the program at DePaul so my summer school
courses started in a little over a week. I'm actually
sorta looking forward to a change of scenary. I love the
people I go to school with, but it'll be a change actually
getting to take classes with guys... I'm excited lol

I'm also excited bc Jason AND Josh (the hot brothers) have
both gotten ahold of me separately to hang out. Josh
knows about me hanging out with Jason (bc that's how he
met me), but I definitely don't think Jason knows about
Josh wanting to hang out with me. That's why I'm a little
hesitant to call Josh and set up a time to hang out -- I'm
afraid Jason'll be there. Oh well, I'm sure it'll all
work out.

Alright, I'm exhausted and emotionally drained so I'm off
to start sleeping off my jet lag.

Much love
~Ashley~

A quick little add in -- I have no clue what is going on
with Andy. I sent him an email 3 weeks ago saying I
wanted to patch things up and at least be friends since we
have to work together this summer, but he didn't respond.
I sent him another email about my work schedule this week
and he did respond. It'll be interesting to see him --
I'll probably stop into work tomorrow... hopefully (or
hopefully not, I'm not really sure) he'll be there and
it'll give me a clue as to how the rest of the summer goes.
