Back To Normal

Well, as near as normal as I'm going to get in any case.
And while yesterday I did have to go back to work and the
mundane-ness that is my life, yesterday went by kinda
quick.

I don't know how I made it through yesterday either.
Between coming back from the convention Sunday, then
spending Monday with Go-Shujin, and getting a lousy nights
sleep Monday night going into Tuesday, was really a mess
when you break it down.

Speaking of Go-Shujin, he teased me about liking Metal Gear
so much. He said, for someone who says they're social
orientation is "liberal", no self-respecting, John Kerry
supporting liberal would have someone like Solid Snake as
their mantra. I tried to tell him that Metal Gear, while
it is a war-type game, it does have very strong anti-war
(especially anti-nuclear war) themes, but he wouldn't
listen. Ah, what can you do...

On Monday night going into Tuesday, my eyes popped open at
around 2:30/ 3:00 and I couldn't go back to sleep until
4:30 something. And that meant that I would only be
getting maybe about an extra hour of sleep in before I
would get up and have to being the morning dash.

I think I was a zombie all day yesterday. But at least Mom
dropped me off and picked me up from work. Which was
really nice cause I really wasn't in any condition to take
the train and then walk home.

This morning is a bit better. I got a full nights sleep.
For breakfast I'm eating my three favorite things,
blueberry muffin, with fresh strawberries, and pineapples.
Oh God, how I love strawberries and pineapples. And I
don't know what kind of pineapples these are, but they’re
not mega acidic.

I don't know what I'm going to do this weekend. I know
J'aime and I are going over Moe-chan's Saturday, which I'm
looking forward to since I haven't seen her in awhile. But
I have to admit, after five weekends of running back and
forth to the fabric store and not to mention cutting and
sewing, it's going to feel weird not being bound to my
sewing machine.

Oh well, I know by the end of this month, we'll be starting
the next round of costumes for Otakon. Oh God, since we're
now technically... Ugh... "Master" category cosplayers
(Oh lord help us all!) we'll now be expected to apply
ourselves.

But I don't wanna apply myself... I wanna just slub
around...

Let me stop whining. J'aime and I have worked long and
hard to get to this point and now that we're here, I guess
there's no turning back.

Next up on the cosplay roster is Mama's bridge outfit,
which I'm not even going to bother making. It's not like
I'm going to enter it in a contest or anything. I'll just
be wearing it for our Metal Gear panel Friday. Saturday, I
don't know if I should say it just yet. I like to leave
some mystery, but it's going to be more big puffy-ness. I
swear that was the best $67 dollars I'd ever spent for that
hoop skirt. It's gotten an assload of use since 2002.

Woo-hoo: For as good as I feel, I'd really rather be home
in bed playing video games, so nanimonai.

Barf: Nanimonai
