Can U Believe It's Been Ten Months!

Monday nite turned out to be a blast. After Karan and I
returned from the job hunt, we decided to separate and
take a small nap before going to work out. It felt good to
finally work out after so long, three weeks to be exact,
of not being able to exercise. So we had fun lifting and
making fun of the weirdo-regulars at the gym, while I kept
a watchful eye for the Libra's menacing gaze. He was
missing in action so I figure he either went home for a
bit, or just left for the summer altogether. Anyway, after
working out, I decided I'd cook some chicken since I've
been craving home-cooked food for the longest.

Karan and I went to do a little grocery shopping and in
the meantime, I called around to see who was still in
town. I called Hugh and of course he was still around so
we agreed to get together later. Then I called El, who is
back in Kansas, but said he'd be returning shortly since
he has a summer job here. So, a few hours later Karan and
I returned to Vee's apartment and started cooking. About a
half hour later, the doorbell rings and standing there
smiling are Hugh and my new small crush, the new Kappa. So
instantlywe start laughing and having fun conversation.
That new Kappa is so charming, I can see him quickly
becoming another summer fling or homie of mine, but I
haven't gotten up the nerve to ask for his number.
Something tells me to let him ask, but I'm losing
patience. At the same time, I'm not as infatuated with him
as I thought, so it's not that urgent for me to have his
number. We watched the game and chatted as Hugh helped me
cook the rice. The new Kappa got a glance at my teasing
side and was surprised at my knowledge of black greek life
on campus. He also kept makin fun of one of my favorite
pictures of my parents, in which my father is whispering
something in my mother's ear and her face is lit up with
joy. It's the sweetest photo, with a twinge of lust in it,
and the new Kappa goes, "He's telling her wait"...as in
the Ying Yang Twins song, "Wait til you see my oh!"

It was hilarious, and though I never want to think about
my parents saying or doing such things, he's probly right,
knowing stories of my father at that age. So they all left
around midnite and I wasted time until finally dragging
myself to bed. Tuesday was straight boring. After getting
up late, I went with Karan to the mall and then for ice
cream and churros afterwards. Once I got back, I took a
bit of a nap and then got up and waited around til Kay
called to let me know we'd be watching movies at her
place. So I figured out the bus schedule and after dinner,
I caught a ride over there. In the meantime, I ran into
Smiley on the bus and made a movie date with my new buddy
who I'll call Simon b/c he's so fresh and clean and not to
mention, intellectual. Once there, we watched "The
Incredibles" and then I caught a ride with Kay's old
roomie since I didn't want to stay to late and risk being
stranded b/c Kay gets a mean sleepy spell when she's tired.

Well, today, I got up late. I meant to wake at nine, but I
got home around 11 p.m. so I decided to watch a movie I'd
just bought. I should've known I was too horny to watch a
Spike Lee joint, but I was curious about "She Hate Me" so
I popped it in. Naturally, the sex scenes got to me, but
otherwise, the story line was interesting...you know how
Spike Lee has to poise those complex moral questions. It
was a decent film, but of course, the sex is whut stuck
with me. It had me feenin for Doc and I went to bed
devising a scheme to draw him back into my world with an
insinuating letter about me being his intern...I know, it
sounds crazy and it sounded even worse this morning when I
recalled whut I was thinking last nite. Now that I'm in my
better senses, I'm hoping even harder that J.R. makes this
trip happen b/c he's the only one I want and I feel if I
wait any longer, I will explode and sleep with the next
man who calls my name, as long as they're not related.
Well, not to make any ultimatums for him, but it is
becoming rather urgent. Well, I've procrastinated long
enough. Until next time, live, love, life!
