A Nice Contrast

While yesterday was such a busy, busy day today was quiet
and relaxed. John and I got up at 8 a.m. and I made us a
nice breakfast of omelet, bacon, fruit salad, toast, orange
juice and coffee. I spent the morning knitting and doing
only the necessary housework.

In the mid-afternoon we went to Junction City to pick up the
buffet which had belonged to John's great-aunt Clara and
then to the quilt show where John and I looked at the
quilts. I chatted with the Mennonite ladies about quilts
and children and John chatted with the men about tractors.
At 4 p.m. the quilt show ended and I was able to bring my
quilts home.

I spent the evening knitting. I've finished three little
hats today and started a fourth. A great start to the
Mother's Day week-end!
