Life, Or Something Like It

Barbra Streisand?

It's 0314, Monday. 122pm. Slightly cloudy. Otherwise, a
rather beautiful day.

I just finished working out, for which, I am happy. Happy
because I'm getting back to being able to doing the same
loads that I was able to do back during the Fall semester.
So, it's a sign that I'm improving slowly, but surely.

I'm happy. I'm sure I could go into a list of reasons but
perhaps I should start with the one least likely of all.
Maybe, it's the song that's playing now. "Blue Eyes" by
Cary Brothers.

Speaking of songs, I've been trying to find a song by a
Amy Grant. It was during Lisa's mother's birthday party,
and it was playing faintly in the background right before
we were to have dinner. I was just entranced by the words,
and it just pained me deeply. Not, that I enjoy songs that
pain me. Although, to a certain extent, I do. But, this
song ... it just fit. If that makes sense. I'm almost
embarassed for even mentioning the name Amy Grant in my
journal. Oh well.

The other night we were watching this movie, ... well, the
girls were, not me. I was in need of some water, and I
popped into the living room, and there was this scene on
t.v which seemed to suggest it was about a good forty
years old. There was this girl, sitting on a couch who
seemed upset at her husband for leaving her in the room
for three hours. It turned out that he was really gone for
three hours to gamble, which made everything so very much
worse.

... Well, till he told her that he won a bazillion dollars.
Then she didn't seem to mind so much. My, how things change
so quickly?

She seemed really hot, and I found myself ... just sort of
watching for what seemed like, all of a few minutes. I
mean, I don't really tend to lose track of time unless it's
something really ... extraordinary. Anyway, needless to
say, the actress was quite hot.

So, I asked Lisa who the actress was, and Lisa replied,
"Oh her? That's Barbra Streisand."
"What? Her?"
"Yea, that's Barbra Streisand when she was forty years
younger."

I immediately found myself quite guilty, as if I had just
committed something quite taboo. As if I had done something
very wrong.

Barbra Streisand?! Wow. The singing was alright, although I
have the strangest feeling they were scripted. Probably
because, it was uh, a movie and everything. At anyrate, she
just seemed really cute.

Spring Break's going well, and I'm quite happy. Even though
it's only been thirteen hours and thirty-six minutes into
the Spring Break session. Well, that amount of time, if you
count that it's Monday.

I'm planning on studying quite a bit this Spring break.
Furthermore, as you can see, it's going quite well. I went
to bed at 530am and woke up not more than an hour ago. So
it's off to a terrific start.

I think I'll end it here for now.
