Sweet Sixteen

February 12th 2005- 730- 1130 pm (time of the party)

Arly's party was pretty wickedly sick. When me Gabby and
Justin first arrived, we started walking in when we
noticed a sign to go down the hill to the back. So me and
Justin helped Gabby in her hiheeled boots dwn the hill
(dam it was cold) and then reclimbed a helluva lotta
steps. There at the landing, Arly greeted us and so did
her cool little brother Spencer. (By the end of the night,
Spencer, 11, was pimping it with half, if not all of the
cheerleading squad.) So hung up the coats, and said hello
to Joe and Eric who were there too. Then went over with
Justin and introduced myself to Arly's mom. When she
turned to me, she was like,
"Do you remember me?"-Arly's mom
"No"-me
"synagogue"
"nope"
"marcy from the synagogue?"
"no"
"i grew up with ur dad along with my husband"
Arlys dad wlks over and shook my hand and her mom told him
that I was the boy from the synagogue (the one I used to
attend) that was the son of the guy the grew up with.
Later on I had asked Arly if she knew of this and she was
like,
"yeah, they went to the same school."
"woah, I never knew that"-me.
So feeling a little bit strange from that jewish encounter
of 'its a small world after all', I chilled for a bit just
walking around. By the end of the night, I noticed that I
knew pretty much everybody, either from COleytown or the
old Bedford or just something else. Minus the fact of the
rest of the cheerleading squad that upperclassmen and a
few sophmore who left after about an hour and a half or
so, everyone seemed to have a really nice time. Best line
of the night still belongs to Arly- (she comes over to the
table where im playing poker with 2 other ppl and she look
@ 1 kid and goes,) "Who are you. Ive seen you a few times
and I dont even know who you are but you came to my
party." (HAHA, nice one Arly, lol. Also, some people
really know how to dance well, but only with certain
people (ie: waylon and Dani). Towards the latter part of
the party, I decided I was a bit bored with the somewhat
repetitive or no real party music so I did what I'd
normally do in that type of situation. GET THE HELIUM! SO
I finally decided after eyeballing balloons most of the
night, to take one and take the helium too. After going up
to Joe with the funny voice, he ran over and grabbed one
too. For about 30-40 minutes, we were like high on helium.
Finally after taking notice of us, Arly's mom (who i think
also found it funny a bit) made us promise to take only
one more balloon then stop (which we did). I LOVE HELIUM
(until ur brain and lungs get too f**ked up). So overall,
I thought Arly's party was very chill, nice decorations,
pretty good dj, better music, and everyone was happy they
went (i could tell[minus those cheerleaders])
