Life, Or Something Like It

Sunday Dinner

It's 0131, Monday. 742am. The weather has been getting
warmer as of late. We're suppose to get temperatures in
the 30's today. Fahrenheit.

I'm incredibly tired right now, and if I were back in bed,
I would be asleep. Last night, I couldn't fall asleep for
the longest time. But, I should probably start at the
beginning.

Sunday was ... an early morning sort of thing. We had
breakfast, the three of us. Lori, Lisa and I. It was at
this steak house place that also doubles as a buffet ...
establishment. It had been awhile since we'd been there
before. I think I remember why we go there rarely. The
food is quite, ... well, as Lisa put it, "mediocre." We
had gone because we had thought Sunday would be a nice
time for all of us to hang out before heading to Lori's
parent's place.

After being sufficiently stuffed, we headed back home and
just hung around for awhile till it was time to head to
Lori's parent's place for dinner. I took this time to fall
asleep. I fell asleep because everyone was hanging around
in the computer room, and I had no privacy. It's one of
the reasons why I dislike the winter. The computer room,
with its relatively small area and two machines that are
usually running simultaneously, expelling heat into the
atmosphere ... it can get quite warm in here at times. In
the 80's. Even when it's below zero outside. It's just
trapped heat.

Dinner was a nice affair. We had roast beef, which
frankly, I didn't really touch. I'm not really a beef
person unless it's a hamburger. If it's a steak, then
that's alright too. Although, even steak is something I
tend to avoid. I'm spoiled, I think.

So I helped myself to alot of the veggies, which I thought
tasted quite good. The cabbage rolls were nice too. Boiled
cabbage rolls with tomato sauce over them, filled with
hamburger and rice. It was something I had never seen
before, but it was quite good. It sort of resembled
something my mother would eat when I was growing up.
Somewhat similar. Although, I think they might have used
lettuce.

At anyrate, afterwards, we played Clue. Playing board
games appears to be a family thing. Or, so I say, because
Lisa's mother does the same thing with us. Lori's mother
thought we'd enjoy the game as well. It was the first time
I had played Clue. In fact, it seemed as if it was
everyone's first time too. Well, everyone had played
before, all but me.

Elle and I had played it a bit before. She tried to teach
me how to play, but that was a lost cause. Well, actually,
she never did try to teach me. It was more of a, "You'll
get the idea!" and it was off we went to play.

After the game at Lori's, we were headed back home, and
Lori told me she thought I looked quite cute sitting at
the table, trying to cheat at Clue. I wasn't really
cheating. I just wasn't sure how to play the first few
rounds. I just sort of got away with making moves that I
shouldn't have made.

But anyway, now that I know how, it might be fun to play
with Elle again. Speaking of Elle, she's been quite busy
as of late. I've not seen her much, actually. I did see
her briefly before, and it seems as if classes are taking
up her time. It would be lying to say I didn't miss her
and think of her.

I don't have nearly as much time as I would have liked to
have to write in here. It's 802am, and I need to get ready
for class. I have the incredibly late evening class today.
I'm not really looking forward to it, ... mainly because
it's so late in the evening. Not to mention, the desks are
so uncomfortable. Oh well.

With that, I'll end this here.
