Mystery's end -- home from Ashland

The return home occurred two days ago, actually, Saturday
and only now with the email exchanges is the mystery
completely clearing up.

Where I left off there were a number of works of art that
were missing, from checking off the ones that were there
versus the ones on the list that weren't there. Where were
they? This included two 3-ring binders that for sure had
come from Eau Claire and that had been observed by folks
going to the exhibit. Also a videotape.

I traveled to Eau Claire on my way to Wausau and learned
from the gallery director there that she'd come in to help
(and observe) what went on in the transfer. She'd been
impressed that the Ashland faculty was "going to leave it
in the hands of the art students." Everything in Eau
Claire had left, she asserted. But also it was clear that
I hadn't checked the hardcopy lists of what had stayed in
Eau Claire and did not become part of the traveling
exhibit. So a number of the Eau Claire works had never
gone there yet were listed by me.

On arriving in Wausau, I found the two pieces
from Madison that had traveled. So at this juncture, only
the videotape and the 3-ring binders were missing. Upon
return home, I learned from Gus Smith that Joy herself had
the 3-ring binders and that she had planned to repair the
glass and send the books upon her return from California
which was soon (early Feb).

At this point only the video remains missing.
