Snow

It's so pretty when it's all white!

And even shuffling snow isn't so bad when you're two..

It made me think of Winnie the Pooh. The wonderful
Thorbjørn Egner translated Winnie the Pooh to Norwegian.
But he didn't just translate it, he rewrote it so to
speak. And I must say, I've read some of it in English the
later years and pretty much all of it in Norwegian growing
up, and it's even better in Norwegian. Everyone in Norway
knows the poem where Winnie the Pooh, or Ole Brumm as his
Norwegian name is, sings about snow. I don't think it's
that famous in England, but I found the original:

The more it snows
(Tiddely pom),
The more it goes
(Tiddely pom),
The more it goes
(Tiddely pom)
On snowing.
And nobody knows
(Tiddely pom),
How cold my toes
(Tiddely pom),
How cold my toes
(Tiddely pom),
Are growing.

It's much cuter in Norwegian:

Det snør, det snør
Tiddelibom
Det er det det gjør
Tiddelibom
Nå snør det mye mer enn før
Tiddelibom og huttemegtu

Så kaldt det er
Tiddelibom
Jeg kjenner det her
Tiddelibom
Jeg kjenner det
på mine tær
Tiddelibom og huttemegtu

I won't try to translate it to English, cause that would
be just stupid ;)

Tiddelibom!
