exercise today from shoveling snow

not only did the driveway but a good fraction of the roof
(have a flat roof and it sprung a leak in a part a little
over a week ago when it rained extensively for a afternoon
and night -- an old leak because there's a soft spot in
the floor beneath it. So I wished to relieve that part of
the roof of a water burden when the snow begins to melt).

Son is here with a charming and very attached and very
lively woman friend. Having a great time. Went to my
exhibit, the OVerture Center where we saw the fabric-clay
connection that another friend has originated (the clay
part -- she fires ceramics that I form). We toured all
three of the community galleries as well as the Watrous
Gallery on the top floor (the official gallery of the Wisc
Academy). Then to the HOstel where the Open Gallery
exhibit is one (this is 141 S. Butler). We had a personal
tour by one of the artists, whom I know well. Then we had
coffee at The Company of Thieves coffee shop where that
same artist has a one woman exhibit. Now we're home
resting prior to a restaurant meal (at Firefly Restaurant)
and then theatre at the Bartell Theatre (plus the lobby
show of the EPI collection).

On arriving home more exercise by doing the driveway where
the snowplow had covered over the shoveling.
