Tuesday March 2, 2004 - Quit Net Post

The past does not equal the future!

Ok, here I begin a new quit. My first quit started on
January 5, 2004 and lasted until January 19, 2004. At this
time, I had given into that Niocdemon and those craves.
First quit lasted 20 days!

I tucked my tail between my legs and put that patch back on
January 20, 04 at 11:30 am and started my second quit. This
time, I stayed quit until February March 1, 2004. I was in
the middle fo writing a term paper and allowed the stress
of the moment to trick me into thinking I JUST HAD TO
SMOKE. Gave in and lost my quit which was a 40 Day Quit.

I allowed myself to smoke all day today and am feeling
really stupid with all kinds of shame and guilt for loosing
my quit and smoking. On top of that, I feel SHITTY. MY body
is not use to this kind of nicotine in my system. I have
had a mild headache all day. I need to remember this. Not
only did I loose my quit but it is making me feel ILL
physically.

The past does not equal the future. I get to decide, TODAY,
what the quality fo my physical health will look like in 1,
3, 5, 10, 20 and 30 years from now!!!! Tomorrow morning, I
plan to start my new quit cold turkey!!!!!!

I want to thank all of my good friends in the Q for their
awesome support.

Gene
