Buddha Clause

I woke up today to the sound of my little sister knocking at
my door. I slowly open my eyes and look at her standing in
the doorway to my filthy room. There she is, winter jacket
on and backpack still on her back. Then I look at the
clock. It was 3pm, way way way passed the time I was
supposed to get up. I was supposed to shop for my sister’s
present today, but that obviously didn’t happen. I get on
my computer and my dad had sent me an e-mail. It was a
series of pictures of a truck/crane on a pier trying to pull
a compact car out of the water. The car gets about ¾ of the
way out of the water and then the truck tips over and falls
in. So what do they do after that? Bring in a larger
truck/crane!!! And what does that do?? It falls in the
water while trying to pull up the smaller truck. I was
greatly amused.

This is the first year my family is sending out Christmas
cards with a picture of the family on them. Thing about the
cards is that my parents used a picture of us taken right
before I went back to college after last winter break. And
if you can remember back that far, I got my hair cut SHORT
before I came back to college last year. So now the picture
that everyone will be getting with their Christmas cards
will be of short haired Sam. GRRRRR….Although I do agree
that it is a better picture than the alternative one with
long haired Sam in it, I’m still kinda disappointed that I’m
thought to have short hair for yet another year.

I think I may have lost weight. Not a lot, granted,
especially considering that I don’t exercise, but if I did,
that would be cool.

I went to rent a movie tonight. I wanted to rent Napoleon
Dynamite, but I didn’t have enough money on me to rent a new
release, so I settled with The Ladykillers. It was fine.
Not incredibly humorous, but it had its moments. The ending
was somewhat deus ex machina, but I think in the end it was
worth the rent.

Speaking of movies, I found one that I want to see now. If
you know the band Daft Punk, then maybe you’ve seen their
music videos for the songs off their album Discovery. The
first four videos basically depict a storyline using the
music and anime. They just had not finished the storyline
in those four videos. Thankfully, they went and made a full
length movie with the whole album. Its called Interstella
5555 and I cant wait to see it.
